In the order I posted, with my Lamy2k at the beginning and Chapstick at the end. Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
I'll try for a better shot with natural light in the morning. Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
I have the 02, 19, 20, 40 Panther, 65 stabilis, and 66 pocket. I copied and pasted that, to make it easier. Both posts were on a different page. So 3rd from the left is the one that seems to catch my eye. That would be number 20? I also like number 19 too. I am going to check that out, thank you!!
Well the full order is Lamy 2k, 02, 19, 20, 40, 65, 66p, and burts bees. So the third Franklin Christoph is the 20, but the 3rd from left is 19. You're looking at the all black one? Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
Ugh, now I'm confused. No, it wasn't all black. It looks like it has black, gray, maroon, and a light color too. (with some type of sparkle)
That's the 19. Love then pen, but fair warning, it's quite large, with a large diameter grip, too. Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
My Collier is close to 6" closed. It looks about the same, maybe larger than the 19? Now I see the close up of your pen, it is pretty. I like gray.
5.5" capped, around 6.5" posted, a bit over 5" from the end of the barrel to tip of the nib. FC says grip diameter is .61" Nice, big #6 nib. Steel nibs are excellent, and for an extra $15 you can have a custom Masuyama grind. Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
I have a #6 nib on the Collier too. It is big compared to the Pilot Prera. I would like to have a Franklin Cristoph in the future. I will have to see how it goes financially though. Thanks for the help here. It does influence my decisions. Reviews are something I lean on heavily, in deciding which gear I want to buy.
IMG_0727g by Quod Erat, on Flickr 48 hours since the nib replacement on my TWSBI, and I'm really glad I did it.
I'm sure that it does.I'm not an expert, but i read that the tip of the nib needs some time to grind down,to fit your wrintinghabits. That can make the inkflow better. Thats the reason why FP afficinados not want to lend their pen to someone else, not to ruin the specific grind. OR as they say: "Do not lend your wife of fountain pen".
I bought two other cheap ones (both of them are slim) : On one of them it says HERO 8012 (I searched on the internet afterwards and that's a different model, whatever) : What is surprising at this one is that the cap does click on the pen unlike the model Sino posted (and the threads inside the body are metal); even though it's plastic it feels pretty sturdy. The nib (like the Parker 51 style better, but it'll do) : The converter : The other one is a no-name brand (the nib appears to my eyes a little bit offset to the left); this one seems to be metal-made: The converter : Can't speak about writing quality yet, since I haven't tested either one. So there you have it.Sorry about the long boring post and bad quality photos.
long boring posts and lausy quality pictures made this board big Thanks for sharing. btw: I prefer visible nibs,to help me holding the pen right, when writing.
Did you like the #2 or the #19 better? I think a cursive italic grind would be so sweet! No way I can get one right now though.
If I'm picking just one, I'd go with the 02. It fits my hand a bit better than its chunky brother and feels more natural in hand. Sent from my iPhone 6 Plus using Tapatalk
New arrival today. Limited edition Lamy in copper orange from Gouletpens.com Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've been tempted to pick one of those up. I only wonder about how scratch-prone the finish might be. Either way, it's a great looking pen--congrats!
