    Bowman1911 Thanks for the photo!

Looks to be a good size for EDC. I haven't had any experience with a Masuyama but I've heard many good things.

Stonerman33 That's a nice looking Sailor! If I could stop buying TWSBI and Pilot pens, I'd give a Sailor a try.

Dude! I loved my TWSBI, still do, but their nibs are NOTHING compared to the Franklin Christoph! As soon as possible, I'll be replacing the #6 ef in my vac700 with a fc ef!

    Have gun, Will travel.

Bowman...you just had to say that didn't you? I want a TWSBI 580 AL, and a Franklin Christoph. (among others that have caught my eye)

I have a "few" Franklin Christoph pens, so if you need any size comparison shots, let me know. The pictures on their site make it hard to judge how big or small they are.

^^ I'm happy to report that swapping the original EF for an F nib has resulted in a smoother stroke--with the added benefit that the ink's potential for shading is more readily apparent.:)

It is great, wash it well with some type of solvent pen wash. Isopropyl alcohol does well. It had some old ink or oil or manufacturing crud in it, bled and stopped up like crazy. My pen wash is 9/10th isopropyl, glass cleaner, and a few drops of dish soap (unless the glass cleaner had suds already).

I have the 02, 19, 20, 40 Panther, 65 stabilis, and 66 pocket. Any in particular you're interested in? Which pens do you have so I might be able to do a side by side?

That particular Hero is NOT just 'leaning' on the Parker. It is a blatant pirated copy of the Parker 51.

After some writing with the Jinhao 250 it writes nicer now.Perhaps their pens require a "breaking in" period.

QuodErat Unless you're absolutely tied to that rose gold nib, save the duckets & do a nib swap! Keep the original feed, & drop a Franklin Christoph nib in there. As soon as the newfound love for my Karas fountainK wear off, & I get tired of the weight again, I'll be doing the same with my vac700.

Thanks, I may have to try that. Given my original investment, it's certainly worth looking into.

I'd like to see them all, side by side. I only have two pens. Pilot Prera, and the Edison Collier.
The Prera is a little small, but fine for small notebooks. The Collier is plenty big. I don't need a bigger pen than that. I don't want a super narrow pen either. I want comfort and reliability. (looks are ALWAYS much appreciated too)
