Forgot to add my Settler...
Did you notice Karen's picture of the Mikro Slither with the Little Creeks.
You thought the Little Creek was small, the Slithers are really small.
I have not seen one of those before.
Very nice classic look to it.
I like it ;D I am kind of on old fashioned guy.
Those Slithers ARE tiny! olice:
Yeah, I think I may have to get at least a couple more Barkies, now that I've had a chance to handle one. It'll be my first foray into fixed-blade EDC once I get an Adirondack Sheath for Little Creek (and add a lanyard for decoration/retention). I've always wanted to EDC a small fixed-blade, and now I can! :roof:
I'd love to get my hands on a Slither! That was one of the very first Barkies I ever wanted, but I've yet to be able to find one... olice:
You talking about one of these?
It's about the same as a Mikro Canadian I or II just smaller handle.
By far my favorite little knife.
I am going to send it back to BRKT for resharpening and maybe a new handle job.
I purchased it at a gun and knife show for around $60 with blue handle scales.
I think I may go with a Bicote or a matte black g10.
thats a "mikro slither"
the "slither" is much bigger
Hi all I have been trying to get this post done finally had the time
I cant really give a detail on them all The little creek and the pro scalpel II have been my EDC for a while with the Mini Canadian starting to be carried.
I just got the Canadian special a few weeks ago and the gunny has been on a shelf waiting for me. I also have A PSK and A Micro Canadian on order same setup as the Canadian special I have only with white liners. I haven't had much time to get out in the woods this summer I'm hoping to get out before it gets too cold. But I'll have alot of free time coming up I was just informed this week that my job has been eliminated and I three weeks left. So much for the economic recovery.
Pro Scalpel II Antique Ivory
Little Creek Maroon Linen
Mini Canadian Maroon Linen
Gunny Maroon Linen/mozaic pins
Canadian Special Maroon Linen/mozaic pins/black spacer with black liners (but you cant see the liners)
Wow O0. Your collection is growing fast . More maroon's on order? Wasn't your Gunny the first?
I'm seriously considering getting a mikro canadian, however I haven't found anywhere that is selling a good choice of handle scales in the UK
The best time to get a choice in handles is before they are made. They may make some models of knows only once every couple of years while some have been made twice in a year. After a run is made the handle selection gets less over time. If you want something specific it can be requested exactly the way you want it before it is built.
Hey Red Horn
My very first Bark River was the Pro Scalpel II that's how I found EDCF during the search of here but I didn't know I could order through here. I'm thinking on sending it in for some TLC blade clean up and new handle can you guess what colors I want ;D
My first Custom was the Gunny that is one comfortable knife I used it to bone out some pork shoulder (Pulled Pork can't live without it) man it worked quick an easy it was better than some of my kitchen knives I have.
The Little Creek I ordered late I got Maroon but no the mozaic pins better late than never.
Then I ordered the Canadian Special that's the one I thought through what I wanted the only regret is the black liners you cant see them.
The Mini Canadian was a gift from a client I put in a bunch of time at point I was working 24hours straight to get the job done on time it was their way of saying thanks.
(The manager who bought it got one for himself too)
Out of all of them I say I use the Little Creek and the Pro scalpel the most with a pocket sheath I haven't gotten use the the smaller blade of the Mini yet. Its funny I got a RAT-4 the same time I got the Pro Scalpel and haven't touched it still in the bag I probably sell it in a day or too I got a couple of things I want to get rid of
They are really hard to find right now you would be better off ordering one that you set up the way you want it. The two you see below the Gunny and the Canadian Special I ordered through EDCF. Its a weird feeling picking out options for a knife like you would buying a car, handle material, liners, spacers, sheath color.
Trust me it gets under your skin.
Here is my collection of Bark River Knifes. I have been collecting for a few months now and it is getting hard to figure out what knife I would like next. I believe the Canadian Special is high on the list but their are still three secret projects left for the year. The A-2 steel has been avoiding my collection so some knife from that type of steel will probably be next.
Micro Tusk - Dark Curly Maple
Bravo Necker - Black
Mini North-Star - Desert Ironwood Burl
Mountian Man - Desert Ironwood Burl
Clax - Coyote Brown G10
I might have a Barkie or 2...
Wow, I didn't realize I posted that same photo already a long time ago in this thread.
Oh well, it is still a cool photo. I am missing about 15-20 of those knives and traded or sold for others. I need to do an updated photo one of these days...
Nice collection I really want one of those Axes.
I know that this is an older thread, but I want more picture of Barkies
I'll have my own pics to contribute some time soon. :]
+1 More Pics!
What is the little guy in the bottom right corner of TwinBlades photo? I like the looks of a guard.
I will ask Twinblade and find out.
OK, you asked for it :~)
