My mistake, thanks for the correction. I have a Dreadknot too, you'd think I know what it looks like. :D

Okay. First up, a picture of my old OG Skinth. Definitely got my money's worth but the magnetic button finally wore out. Still works, just not seated completely.
    Crappy cell phone pics, soz.

The new one. Different color and a bit of nice addons. Some of which were unexpected but appreciated! It's also roomier by a bit.

One nice bit is the tubes are lengthier. So there's a small lip for the flashlight, where the older Skinth had room for the head to turtle out the bottom. Also the tubes are roomier, no more fighting to get the flashlight in there!

This is the one downside. It's a temporary problem; metro didn't know what would be going into the tubes. The Fellhoelter's bolt means it can't sit completely in there. So it's over the top and look lopsided or around and over. What you gonna do? :p Have a Hinderer Investigator in brass on the way which may remedy this problem.

EDIT: After a bit of fiddling (and beer) I have discovered that there's enough room in the side tube to tuck the velcro flap inside. Please disregard the above downside. I was sober, I'm sorry!

My catch-all has been great in uniform. Thinking about swappi g the bic for my vertigo butane torch and maybe a different blade. Also wanting to buy something smaller for my civilian edc.

ProVari Mini?? Extended battery, or just the 18350?

It`s Mini with 18350. One can use Mini or Standart Provari with 18490 but 18650 is maybe too much.

Here is standart Provari with 18490.

Yes. I carry a Fenix PD22 G2 in my Mondo Shield, among other items. I put a backup aaa battery light in there also.

Just got a new job! Maintenance/Cleaning/Property Manager.

    Probably gonna be carrying:
    -Leatherman wave
    -Pocket tools X piranha
    -Streamlight Microstream
    -Fisher Spacepen
    -Mini Sharpie

I think Im set on the Shield L. Just figuring out color combos.

Is this the right choice? And if so, do I purchase it from the normal website (skinthsolution dot com) or from somewhere else?

You are correct! the website is where you go.

I think you are in the right mode of thought, however the bit in the Piranha won't fit so well in the front pocket. Maybe with some jiggling but thats about it.

The Vic will be replaced with a small pen and I am also thinking about buying a Swisstool Spirit, although I am pleased with the Charge. If so, I will also swap the bit kit for a flat tool :) ... but this is it for now.

    CatchAll load.

    Wallet/Money
    Leatherman Charge Tti
    Leatherman Bit Kit
    Spy 007T
    4Seven Ti. AA modified
    Lighter...purple, cause who'd steal a purple lighter
    Tweezers
    JDR mini prybar
    Atwood Funnybone
    Schrade Pen
    Alox Cadet
    Alox Classic
    Spare CR123/AA/Phone battery

Theres still room for more items such as, keys, Leatherman bit extension....

I normally EDC a Trailblazer and don't carry the bit kit since it's usually in my backpack...everything else shown fits just fine except the Spy 007T flashlight which is replaced with a McGizmo LS20.3.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll probably take the bit out because the Wave has one too. I'll probably be heading over to the website after I get my first paycheck from my new job. Woohoo.

    Edit!

I couldn't resist. Ugh. Just placed my order. Lol.

I see youre also trying to carry more bits than one standard vic "rack" allows. The vic bit set takes up so much space! :p

Ive got a countycom order incoming soon that will addc some items, will post another XL loadout when it arrives! D

After some agonizing waiting my skinths finally arrived. Delivered much faster than expected, and finished within the time stated on the website, so I am very happy. :bounce:

I ordered an orange Nano Shield and a navy blue S shield. They are much more sturdy than expected and extremely well built. A perfect fit for my planned setups.

I am really happy with them, although it will probably take some getting used to belt carry. The Nano surprised me as it can hold a lot more then expected. I will also carry a spare AAA in the other side pocket and a spare bill in the front pocket.

The nano contains: Foursevens Preon p0 flashlight (stainless steel), Screwpop wrench, Spyderco Ladybug (H1, rit dyed) and a Leatherman Micra.

The S shield contains: Victorinox Swiss Champ

    Congrats on your purchase!

So that "Screwpop" doesn´t fit in the frontpocket??? it certainly look like it would fit...
