Get your mind out of the gutter... I'm in the market for a weekend edc bag along the lines of 5.11 Moab 6, or nutsac "Man Bag, Dammit". But the Moab 6 seems a bit big (5 inches deep), and the Nutsac a bit to murse-y. So I'm looking for ideas. Should be enough to carry an iPad mini, knife, keys, IFAK, maybe a bottle of water. Messenger or Sling. Anything longer than 10 inches in any direction is too big (stop your snickering). So let's see 'em, boys.
I have the 5.11 COVRT ZAP 6 that I use when I'm traveling light. I really like it. Padded iPad pocket, outside mesh water bottle pocket, key clip, pen organizer, soft pocket for sunglasses, can add a pouch to the shoulder strap and my favorite part is that it does not look tactical.

Following this thread with interest and looking for the same thing. If you could do 8 x 10 ish, maybe the Bihn small cafe bag is what we're both looking for. My searches haven't uncovered anything better so far and its made in the USA and only $65....
Intriguing. My one gripe would be that's it only works on one shoulder. That and the price. But I'm considering it...
MaxPed Remora would be a better size, and it looks pretty good, but $30 more than the Moab 6. Thanks for the suggestions!
If you are looking for something less tactical check out the Rapid Dominance Heavyweight field bag. The iPad mini fits perfectly in the front or rear slip pocket. Its dimensions are 9x9x3" I have an 18oz Kleen Kanteen that fits inside the bag or hangs outside with a carabiner on the strap. $22 on amazon.
I don't normally use a man bag when I'm at home, I usually have gear stowed in my desk or car where it's possible for me to get to. I only use a man bag when traveling or on vacation where I use a Chrome Industry Kadet Nylon Messenger bag.
So I pulled the trigger on a 5.11 2-Banger. This weekend will be the first time I use it, so I'll follow up with a post and some pics...
This is mine. What I'm currently using for EDC Vanquest Mobius 2.0 in Multicam Black Nice setup. I Don't suppose you remember where you got that punisher patch on your pack from by any chance? (its from my old unit in Australia. I've never seen a PVC one like it and would love to track one down!)
I currently use Zulu Nylon Gear's Indy Satchel bag in Ranger Green for my EDC. Very simple, straightforward bag made of 1000D Cordura. Has a pretty big area of loop velcro for hook-backed attachments. My iPad mini (w/ Pelican Case) fits perfectly inside the inner pocket. Easily swallows my full-size ATH-M50 headphones, 20 oz Hydroflask water bottle, Vanquest pocket organizer, and 10,000 mah powerbank.
