I tend to use dedicated wire cutters at work, but when my tools are too far away i reach for my MT. When dealing with zip ties I use the gutting hook on the serrated blade if i don't have other tools around. You are probably right, I should have used the large screwdriver instead for bending the metal. Anyway, I think its soon time to make a recharge!
First mod of about 3 to come, just waiting on a security torx set to arrive The leatherman wing (single wing wingman) Actually just made this because I had spare parts left lol. I'm really replacing the saw in my tti for the sissors off the wingman and doing the recharge mod
My Wave is acid etched and added an S30V blade. Was going to stonewash it, but it's a real pain to put back together.
It's still holding up. It holds the knurled screws without thread locker too. It did wear a tiny tiny bit when I was adjusting the knurled screws with my DIY socket. Just a lot of twisting and pressure.
Hi, I'm new to the forum, but i thought i would share my leatherman mods with you all. [/IMG] 1. I replaced the serrated outside blade with wingman scissors. It locks into place when open. 2. replaced the original scissors with a 32 gig flash drive. 3. cut a slot in the bit driver to accept standard 1/4 inch bits. 4. cut a slot in a hacksaw blade so that it slides in and out of the slot made for the clip and the lanyard, it locks in both positions with the locking mechanism for the inside tools. 5. I also put a notch in the other slot to accept swiss army tweezers. 6. lastly i added the clip from a wingman. Some of these mods i stole from others so i can't take credit for those but the rest i came up with because i thought they would be useful. Thanks
