this Is my Kimber Ive had it for afew years and was lucky enough to have Bob Miller from miller customs go through it . He did alittle fine tuning to it It really is a fun pistol to shoot not an EDC but it is FUN to shoot!
Just finished removing the ambi safety and converting to a Wilson Combat single sided safety which is also a somewhat lower profile. Springfield makes a nice gun, but the ambi safeties seemed pretty large, and I didn't like having one on the outside when I carry.
for a classic look, the Milt Sparks 1AT (adjustable tension) in brown basket weave was a pretty spiffy competition holster with a fancy stitched belt... it still gets comments from the old timers at matches, though has been replaced by a G34 and Blade Tech DOH... 1911 is Springfield frame and slide and pretty much aftermarket everything else
Got a chance to hold a kimber pro raptor 2 yesterday. Just waiting on an offer for my left kidney ;-)
Love them both! What I call work guns........ <<< Even when the world is at peace, a gentleman always keeps a blade at his side. -The Strategies of Wu. >>> <<< Not all that wander are lost. -J.R.R. Tolkien >>>>
Ambis on my comp guns, but really don't like them on a carry gun. Nice job. <<< Even when the world is at peace, a gentleman always keeps a blade at his side. -The Strategies of Wu. >>> <<< Not all that wander are lost. -J.R.R. Tolkien >>>>
Don't you hate it when that happens? <<< Even when the world is at peace, a gentleman always keeps a blade at his side. -The Strategies of Wu. >>> <<< Not all that wander are lost. -J.R.R. Tolkien >>>>
Very nice. This Colt looks to be a 1911 which dates 1924 and earlier. The 1911A1 came 1924 and after. At any rate, I'm thinking this pistol my be a tad older than you think.
Thanks! Both are former work guns with a lot of use. Memories. Both good and bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's a Spyderco Yojimbo2, they're unobtanium, since Spyderco hasn't done a run in while. Keep an out in the "for sale" sections here and especially at BF, they pop up every now and then.
