We have threads for what we're wearing now, a G-Shock thread, Divers watches and so many others. What do you put on when you have some work to do and need something tough. These are mine, I'm currently wearing the Timex now. I work in HVACR and I get into some nasty places and have scraped concrete walls crawled through more dust and mud than I want to remember and been in 130° attics covered in insulation and these have made it so far. Show me what you got.
@Kev2488: Great idea for a thread! I would hope that (a) this becomes one of the 'standard' go-to threads, and (b) it gets cloned off for MT and knives...! I myself don't have any heavy-duty work environment issues. Not only has most of my work life been under pretty clean conditions (either offices or pretty clean factory/warehouse environs, but these days I'm for all purposes 'retired' (wink wink nod nod). Looking forward to the responses you get. L'chaim! Moshe ben David
I've been using this Citizen titanium Eco-Drive as my work watch for the past 6 years. My work conditions are similar to the OPs. The chronograph has stopped working and the bracelet has its share of battle scars, but it still keeps excellent time. Far better than my nice autos do at least. I actually have a replacement work watch on its way to me now. Since I've had such good experiences with the Citizen Eco-drive I ordered another one, this time a diver style. I'll post a pic of that one when I get it. Great idea for a thread! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Thanks guys I'm glad you are enjoying the thread I'm looking forward to more responses. I have a Citizen that is almost 15 years old that was forgotten on a closet shelf for the past 6 years and I took it out and shined a light on its face and low and behold it started ticking again very good watches.
Here's the new watch. Sorry for the bad pic, I'm still at work. So far I really like it. But I think I'll look for another band. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Suunto core black had this for a fair few years... Still going strong Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk
Wore this in the rain, and cutting drywall to run some supply lines and return lines over a beam and back under.
My current "afraid-im-gonna-break-it" watch is boring... just a standard plain vanilla black Casio dw5600. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Old photo; (I have a couple of watches in rotation, but most of the time) I've been wearing my G-Shock Sky Cockpit since purchasing it 6 or more years ago. Like all G's, it truly has been tough as nails, and still looks as good as it does in this old photo. Pops
But this is on now. These Jayandkays strap adapters are way better than my old CountyComm ones that split in the seam and we're way easier to put on.
Im on dry land and this hasn't missed a beat. Tell a lie.. I had to change the straps about 2months ago because one snapped Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk
