This is a chance for everyone, including the makers to show off their unique custom kydex sheaths. I'll lead off with a couple of my favorites from my collection.
All great designs. What thickness do you use for the kydex, i want to take a shot at making some sheaths myself, but i don't kniw what thickness to order.
For smaller blades use .06 and for big ones use .08, found this works for me. But .08 is a all around size for all.
No kydex from me, just a simple sheath for a Santoku that I sharpened for a friend. Didn't want to wrap it in a newspaper, so I made a sheath from some spare material on job. I guess it's Polypropylene or -ethylene. Also the folding could be a bit better, but I'm satisfied for an unpaid half hour of work Oh and I replaced that locking ball with a leather loop but forgot to take a shot.
Give the .06 a try first. It is easier to get good definition with out over heating. Also I recommend 1/4" rivets. They are easier to work with and not split them. Best of luck to you! Make sure to post some pics up.
Here are mine, produced by You Know That Guy Kydex.......... <<< Even when the world is at peace, a gentleman always keeps a blade at his side. -The Strategies of Wu. >>>
RichinVA, I know this is a kydex sheath thread but I can't help but wonder about those wood bowls!Could you send me a conversation message about them so I do not derail the thread any further? I'm looking for someone to make a kydex sheath for a Rexford Rut, anyone have one that they can use to make a sheath for me so that I won't have to ship mine out. Should I ask in the BST? Mods please remove if I posted this in the wrong area and sorry.

A few weeks ago I decided to try my at kydex work. I found this thread while looking for inspiration and thougt of digging it out to post my work so far. This holder has helped my PPP to see more pocket time sog PPP with kydex holder and maserin croc by I like to put a lanyard on my prybars. On this one you can attach it to the 1/4" bit hole, but you have to remove it to use said hole. Enters this piece which keeps the prybar from getting lost, the 1/4" bit from falling and the sharper end from shredding anything. kydex prybar tip protector-bit holder by
