Is anyone aware of a downloadable version of the Spyderco Sharpmaker instructional video? Mine came with a VHS copy of the instructions but I don't own a VHS player any more. So far I've been to cheap to pay for the DVD version that they sell.

    Mr_Dove,

This isnt' exactly what you are looking for but it might help.

I found it on youtube, it's about 2:15 minutes and it's called Spyderco Sharpmaker Teqniques.

    Hope that helps.

I do not know if these links will paste in the way that I have them, but if you search for Spyderco Sharpmaker, Spyderco has uploaded the video instructions in four parts to YouTube. KnivesPlus has a PDF of the manual. P.S. Further, at least the links show, so if you prefer you can paste them in directly to the address bar without the media codes at either end, i.e. just copy and paste the basic link.

Spyderco Sharpmaker Instructions and other PDF product instruction files at KnivesPlus. The direct link to the PDF file, if you want to skip going to the page, is SpydercoSharpmaker.PDF.

If you are interested in sharpening scissors there are instructions starting on page 13 of the written manual PDF file or at about 7 minutes into part 3 of 4 of the video instructions.

Yes, but the answer, the Spyderco videos were not posted until as noted: "Uploaded by SpydercoKnives on Nov 22, 2011."

This was one of the threads that is noted if someone does a search, and the original poster might still want an answer. If not it might help someone else. I have my VHS video, but my VHS player is not connected. ;) Further this way one can skip to a feature on which they may have a question. ;D Further, the written instructions are also online as noted. Saves looking for them.
