I bought mine at Office Depot. They had a full selection of colors and tips.
Yep - got some myself. Glad I got 'em. Bought some for friends, too.
I got my black minis at Home Depot.
Now if I could only have a titanium Sharpie, life would be sweet...
You could probably get someone on EDCF to make you a shell for one. MattW is interested in doing that sort of thing, I believe. Is it possible to pull the guts out of a sharpie without destroying them?
You sure can, but it's a bit messy.
I've found a local Michael's (craft store) has the minis in black- sharp and regular tip; orange/yellow in reg tip; purple in sharp tip.
They also have a 40% off coupon EVERY WEEK, so I'm going to start weekly run for $0.60 Sharpie Minis.
Yes they come off, twice now I've been left with JUST the ring on my keychain or lanyard at work (I was not happy). So they def. come off
So YOU'RE the guy!
I've seen them in bowls near the cash register of some stores, selling for about a buck.
Is there any chemical difference between the ink in a regular Sharpie marker and that found in a "Sharpie Rub-a-Dub Laundry Marker"?
I always imagined that the Rub-a-Dub would have ink that lasted longer against washing out, but I have no idea. It could be all "marketing."
Anyone know for sure?
I will just note that the retaining ring and the cap on the Mini Sharpies are much better than when they first came out. You could not trust either to not quite easily come off, making the whole mini Sharpie thing kinda useless for reliable carry by the metal part. There is some variance between examples, so try them if you can first. Some of the ones I have are incredibly difficult to pull the cap off, compared to normal Sharpies. The rings do not come off in my busy pockets...this is a very handy item now, so don't be put off if you bought some more than a year ago.
For some incredibly infuriating reason they do not sell Ultra fine sharpies in the UK only the larger fines. For a guy who does not have the best penmanship - smaller lines are better.
Same reason I use Pilots 0.5 rather than the 0.7.
I currently import Ultra-fines from Canada when I go back to meet the parents.
They do sell a twin tip pen over here but they tend to dry out fairly quickly.
They don't have any sharpie at office depot in france :brickwall:
I can find only mini sharpies
Which stores in France have the mini's, Carrefour, LIDL?
I've not seen any over here.
I always crazy glued the key ring caps on to the actual cap. The minis seem to hold together better than the super fine piont micros. I dont sign a lot of "documents" per-se so the reg fine point is fine for me. A zebra rides right in the same pocket, and a space pen in an organizer...
Mail sent, your way, sorry for the poor french.
I have the newer pointy tip lid top on mine, and it takes quite a bit to make it pop off.
Saw o TV a few days ago a Sharpie retractable w/ ultra fine tips, has anybody tried one yet?
