Number 154 from Plaza Cutlery. Thank you Dan!

I posted a short review over on USN in the flashlight forum.

Just posted this over on CPF but figured I'd add it here too:

Mine just showed up here in Japan and I'm pretty disappointed. Here are a few pix.

I didn't expect the threads to be buttery smooth nor did I expect a barnburner. I did expect it to be up to the standards of my other Surefires. The fit and finish are atrocious and I've only been able to get the "quick" release to come off once. The rest of the time it seems to bind and so I just click it back into its original position. I understand that with time and use it would gain character marks but an out of round bezel and stretch marks in the metal are not the way this one should have been delivered.

Aw, man! That's just unacceptable!

Sorry you got stuck with a lemon, LT. Have you spoken with anyone from SF about it yet?

A quality system, even a poorly administered one, would have caught this aberration.

Bummer, LT! I'm quite happy with #0323 from OpticsHQ. (Though I still haven't gotten it apart, even after making a tool which should do the job!)

We'll I got a response from Surefire. Not quite what I'd hoped for or expected.

I guess I'll deal with it next month when I'm there.

You'd figure a "serialized limited edition light" would have had good QC in the FIRST place! Did they mess up on one and figure, "Oh...maybe they won't notice!" ??? :slap:

I sure hope they end up doing right by you, LT. I may be disinclined to give them my patronage in the future if this is how they run things... :(

I hope they take care of it for you as well, LT. I could see something like that slipping out on occasion for a regular production run, but not an LE, especially when it's their first product in a new niche.

I seriously doubt your Titan is what PK had in mind.

Thanks guys, I can't speak to what PK might have envisioned but it certainly wasn't what I had. The part that is serialized and the tailcap proper are probably fine. The quick release, bezel, and the secondary bezel are where the problems are. I'll post how it goes later next month when I'm back.
