Do you hear (notice) the seconds with these watches?

Do you mean can you hear it tick when it's on your wrist? You shouldn't unless you've got fantastic hearing.

I can hear my Seiko, but it's a different model and mechanical.

    And I love hearing it.

A solar watch? I very much doubt it. I can hear the whir in an automatic/mechanical when the room is quiet, but I have never heard sound from a solar.

Mechanicals/automatics you will hear. Seiko spring drive you could hear... Dunno if seiko makes any stepper-motor watches but those you can also hear. Regular quartz driven hands are practically silent (this includes kinetics).
