I saw a “free giveaway” that includes the “Seal Torch 2000” flaslight. Does anybody have any knowledge or experience they’d like to share?

    Does it look like this?

If so it takes 3x aaa batteries and uses a cheap unregulated driver with a Latticebright (Chinese clone of Cree) LED.

You can find them for under $5 on the Bay, and even less on Chinese sites.

Free with no strings attached? It's a functional flashlight. It's not worth it if you have to pay $6 S&H or as part of some subscription scheme.

I've seen the various ads for that too, surely the armed services etc don't actually get issued with that??

That’s the one. As usual, nothing is free. It was one of those “it’s free but......” Thatnks for your insight.

They don't, it is just a scam.

Although as of a few years ago Marine recruits were still being issued Vietnam era Fulton angle-heads.LOL
