Don't you have to use those strap adapters? I would first source the adapters and then find out what size strap they accept.
Yeah, most g-shocks don't have 'universal' spring-bar connections. Regular or nato straps will not fit.
For many there are, not for all tho... and they can be difficult to find depending on what model you have as they are often produced in limited batches. And quality on em can be totally hit-or-miss. But for the gw-9400 for example there happens to be some on the bay, even a full 'kit' that has 2x adapters and 3-ring zulu-esque strap for 25 bucks from a US seller. So not all is lost...
I'm not sure if the gshock has a spring bar, what holds the band to the watch head, but 29mm seems massive for a watch strap. I'd see if a friend has a digital caliper to measure it, or go to a jeweler. They can not only tell you exactly the size but help determine if it's a spring bar or if something else is needed to attach a nato strap, but I'm guessing it's possible. Ignore this post, I'm on my mobile and didn't realize like 5 people answered this better that I did haha. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
Face in or face out? I was thinking that I'm weird. When I wore my watch with a bracelet, I always wore it face out and it felt weird to turn it in. With a NATO strap, face out feels weird and I wear it face in. Is that strange?
I don't think so. I wear my watches on the inside of my wrist (where you take a pulse). I think that the way a nato attaches to a watch seems to make it more "top heavy" and that is exaggerated when worn face out. Just my$0.02
Basically if the watch uses spring bars to hold the band on or similar method, then you just need to know the width of the band the watch takes and then you order the Nato accordingly.
Or when in doubt let us know what type watch you have or post some front and back pics of the timepiece in question!
My leather nato strap has saved my watch at least one time at work. Spring bar busted off but the strap kept my watch from hitting the ground.
I can see the stripe progression in the American strap ! Fine Gentleman of impeccable taste like you will sooner or later end the quest with the Colonial nato strap. I know I did.....
