I know this is a bit random, but I was thinking about toy story 3 today, and I feel it to be the saddest movie I have ever seen, as I can relate to it perfectly. The first one came out when I was 1/2 years old and my parents tell me I used to love it. I grew up with Andy, Buzz, Woody and the gang, but now its weird. Its like a part of my life is gone.

Glad I got that off my chest, but anyway, any movies you guys find sad/life changing?

No animal movies. I just can't do any of them without getting weepy at some point.

Well, thank you for making me feel really old. I was playing drinking games to that movie the night I ended up in my one and only bar fight (and the er). As for sad movies: The Road, Watership Downs, Saving Private Ryan

    The Bollywood movie Baghpan

Basically about a good father who gives his all for his family and kids. Then when he retires becomes too much of a burden to them and is ill treated along with his wife
Him and his wife have enough leave their rotten kids, tour India and eventually meet their adopted son who not only takes them in, but gives them the respect they deserve.

The climax of the movie, the father is now a successful author.
At the book premier "his son" gets called to say a few words. The biological son stands up thinking its him but the adopted son gets called up instead.

I thought the subject matter of Wall-E was a little heavy for the kids it was marketed to. Good movie nonetheless.

He didn't really die though, his memories had been preserved in the other android. I think the storyline there was paralleling Spock's, who's memories were preserved in the doctor.

My top sad (but beautiful) movies. People that don't have their eyes wet after looking at them are probably not human :

    - Hachiko both japanese and american version
    - Helen the baby fox (Kogitsune Heren), a japanese movie
    - Quill the life of a blind dog, a korean movie
    - Marley and me
    - Dien Bien Phu, about the last french battle in Vietnam/Indochina
    - Schindler's list

Please don't watch all of them at once you may not survive it.
