No giggling here, i assure you! Just making light of a serious situation so it doesn't seem as ominous :)
Could've ended up a lot worse than passing worries about being patted down

took my vest off for the pat down, the Blur was attached to the vest. My Ridge was behind my flashlight on my belt and he didn't give a seconds notice to my Leatherman in the sheath. The Sak hanging off my key chain did give him some consern but as it was a SAK not used in the fight, nothing from it.

The Bone head cop was looking for a reason to arrest me for defending myself against a puke drunk that wanted to erase his girlfriend. Go figure. Here she is, trying to get away from the situation and he attacks. ? Told the cop to figure out the priorities here. Idiot wants to hurt the girl, girl wants the phone to call a cab to get the hell away and numb nuts had to step in. He ended up beiing charged on multiple counts. They where pissed because I busted him up pretty bad.

All these nice places we're asked to go to now, all are trained to handle situations with out using a knife or gun. So...scumbags beware.

I suppose that's true. I'm young enough that I don't see myself as likely to be involved in this sort of thing, but it is worth being careful about. Thanks for the caution.

    Aw, man...

I'm picturing OHTs with VG-10, S30v or even CPM 154 blades!

Having PE versions will be cool also!

High tech steel, a PE blade and a pocket clip...now that would be a perfect OHT model!

You know, I doubt any one in the twin towers saw themselves at risk or of being involved in a major situation.

    Your quite welcome.

On the subject of OH Trekker wishlist/Customs, I'd like to see one with a plainedge blade (conventional grind) a pocket-clip, and minus the saw and the awl/reamer.

In the meantime though, the one I have is just fine! :)

As long as we're dreaming, I'd like one with a pair of scissors instead of a saw. Oh well, maybe next life.

Except for the pocket clip, it sounds like you're describing one of the new Wenger Ranger models -- my next SAK purchase in July after I get paid. ;D

The problem with the Ranger though, is size. The Trekker is only 4-3/8" long when closed, whereas the Ranger is 5-1/10" long according to the specs given. I've found that once a pocket-knife starts getting around 5" long when closed, it tends to be very uncomfortable when clipped inside your front jeans or pants pocket. Personally, I've found that 4-1/2" is pretty much the upper limit for comfortable carry.

And if it ain't comfortable to carry, it tends to become a "Drawer Queen".

Belt sheath carry is, of course, a whole different story.
