Lord of the Flies is one of my absolute favourite stories, cool EDC! Glad to see a girl being self reliant. I wish I could carry knives in Australia, but I'm limited to only carrying my PS4 squirt as a utility blade Oh, and you've gotten yourself a new YT subscriber!
Since my EDC changes so frequently (depending on situations and clothing) I think that I will be posting on this thread more frequently showing different set ups I use! I really liked this set up. Spyderco Cricket in front right Ka Bar TDI (set up for reverse grip) at 12oclock IWB Streamlight Microstream in back left Keychain at 5oclock tucked in back right (with surprisingly effective paracord belt attachment) -Leatherman Style PS -Spyderco Bug -TrueUtility Telepen -4Sevens Quark MiniX 123 -V Pick Leather Guitar Pick Holder
Wow, seems like a lot of stuff for a back pocket. I would like to see that "surprisingly effective paracord belt attachment" a little better, please Always looking for a better way!
It's not too bad, actually! It hangs really well. But I do take it out when I'm sitting a lot, just jingles too much when I'm movin around. I might take a better pic of the keychain as a whole. But it's working out really well for me! I was actually thinking the other day about starting a thread of ways people attach their stuff to their belt but I don't know if it already exists!
I really like the looks of the Spyderco Cricket. I don't see it mentioned much but I've been thinking about buying one for a while. I've carried something in that size class for a while (e.g. a Buck Metro, a Boker Subcom, or a Dajo) since they fit in my coin pocket. The Cricket looks just a little bigger than those.
The cricket is a similar size to, but thinner and lighter than the Subcom. I have both, and they are both great knives, but the crickets reverse s blade shape is awesome cutter, and is the best tool ever for opening those stupid clam packs that everything is packaged in nowadays
That's helpful to know since I hate clam packs with a passion. Do you have the serrated or plain edge? If so, do you have a preference? Thanks!
I have FRN and SS models, both in plain edge - the one place the crickets blade shape works against it is when chopping against a board, other than that they are great (i have a pair of its bigger brother too the Dodo) I really should film/photograph a "how to open clampacks with a cricket" video/post - i have found it to be the easiest safest way of opening them neatly and easily, will try and remember next time i have a clampack to open
