Just an idea. A few days ago I was going through my collection of folders, multitools, flashlights and watches, and I came to notice that, while I am not particurlarly carefull with those, they do not seem to be as old as they really are. The answer came from rotation: with so many different items to choose from, wear and tear gets distributed among them, and it's hard to really trash a piece by use. Major advantage in numbers.

That's a good point, I never really thought about that. Barring my one or two beater knives, all of my edc's are in very good shape. Just one more excuse to own more knives! YES! O0

It seems that I might rotate a personal edc when I pick up something new. After checking it out a few days, usally the most expensive one will find it's way to the chest, MPB, or BOBs.
