Sorry I didn't realize you had a subforum here before I bothered you with an email, but I figured other might have this question. In a lot of your pictures, I see you use a link from a roller chain to connect gear to the gatekeeper, and I like that look. I'm just wondering if there is a specific size for the links and the pins that work on a gatekeeper? I was thinking of using small shackles, but I like the look of the roller chain links better. Hey thanks for your question. I think those look cooler than any other option but I ended up having a problem with the fact that they only move in one direction, like a hinge joint and so right now I'm back to split rings...considering a custom mini shackle of some kind. Anyway I do still think it's a viable option! The master link is size 41, stainless steel, the brand is tsubaki. I think you can get them on eBay or try zoro tools. The backplate makes it too tight so you just use the spring clip, which is strong though not ideal.
