I just found this on a blog I was browsing, if you like the occasional LARGE blade check it out. WARNING!! the trailer has a fair amount of bad language in it.
This film is based on a fake trailer made by robert Rodriguez for the grindhouse film. Look for the origional trailer its amazing and hillarious.
http://www.vivamachete.com/ I love Danny Trejo. Im glad he finally has a lead in what looks to be a great movie. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
It seems it is a real movie, Fox decided to make it based on the Grindhouse trailer. It is due to come out September 3rd. I wonder how many movies Danny Trejo has played character and bit parts in? I reckon he has earned a lead by now.
A HUGE +1 to that!!! I've been watching a ton of movies lately due to no cable and have been seeing him in a TON of stuff!!! I REALLY hope that movie is made.
i give him a lot of respect for getting clean and getting out of the life. still going strong at 66! looking forward to the movie.
Years before the fake trailer in the Grindhouse movies, Danny Trejo had a role in Spy Kids playing a tech goodies / surveillance expert and his name was...Machete.
The SpyKids series was done by Robert Rodriguez who is good friends and frequent collaborator with Quentin Tarantino. I've got a number of props that were used on many of their films.
I'm really looking forward to this film! Pretty cool that it went from being a spoof trailer to an actual movie. It looks really over the top and super bloody. Ought to make for a fun weekend flick.
2 More days...opens Sept. 3rd!!! Can't Wait!!!;D:agree:;D Doesn't hurt that Jessica Alba is in it also!!!!...SHWING!
Ridiculously over the top violence and some nudity. Including from a certain girl named Lohan. (She basically plays herself through much of the film. You know, drunk, high, strung out, doing stupid $#^%.) Ignore the political message in it, and just have fun with the cheap thrill that this film is. Go see it. It's fun. Leave the kiddies at home. Might want to leave the wife or girlfriend there too. It's a guy movie. "Be sure to see the sequel ... 'Machete Kills.' And the sequel after that ... 'Machete kills again.'"
Gotta say I like these kinda movies. Been a while since I've gone out to see a movie, maybe Machete will break that drought? Or another one like The Expendables?
