Didn't he post in this thread when the previous batch was out? There, post 43, 14 Nov 2014. Only 4 months ago.
I have to admit I really like the looks of this tool, but can't bring myself to spend $135 to $150 for a box cutter. Now getting my GF to buy it for me as a present is a different story. Assuming I don't want something more than that when the times comes. It's all about timing and a GF that makes a decent living.
Couldn't resist, ordered a RUT last night! Now to figure out how to carry it. If I knew of someone who made good custom wallets, would be cool to slide it in there, but the Mission Wallet never worked for me and I don't know any custom makers. Anyone want to post pics of their RUT sheaths for inspiration?
This maker is currently doing a batch...doesn't have to be the same as this, he does bespoke stuff too
Thats a great looking sheath. Can still use the prybar and bottle opener when it is in there. Nice...
Contact Member Arch Ronin on here. He does custom leather and fantastic work. Here is a Wallet he did for me a while back that holds an Atwood Crypto. Price was very reasonable as well.
If you wanted a leather one the Scout Leather sheath is very nice, alternatively I made my own, after a few designs I came up with one I liked....
Unfortunately the sheath maker I was going to use only has a RUT V1, since I ordered a RUT V2 I am still looking for a good kydex sheath maker who is in possession of a V2 so I don't have to mail mine off for molding. Anyone? IF that maker also made carbon fiber sheaths that would be even better Thanks!
He is using my RUT to make the batch I am not sure it would make much difference to the retention personally but its your call.

Chamfering is always nice, but I wish additional metal hadn't been removed from the bottom of the bottle opener. ATB, Sam
That picture is deceiving. Since the new V2 is slightly angled in that photo it makes it look smaller overall than V1, and also hides the bottom chamfer in dark shadow, making it appear like much more metal has been removed than reality. I actually don't think any metal has been removed other than the chamfering, it was confirmed by someone who has both V1 and V2 that the V2 is the same overall size so I am pretty sure it is an optical illusion due to angling in the photo plus shadow. I could be wrong though... Also, mine arrived today and is awesome!
