Full disclosure: This light was not sent to me by Sunwayman for review (as is the case with some of the other light reviews I do) and was bought by me with my own funds. I'm quite happy with the purchase as well - here's my review:

Review of the Sunwayman V11R on ThruMyLens

Enjoy and please let me know your thoughts on the review.

I know I love my V10Rs and 99% of the time a V10R is my EDC. Great lights. And I can see a V11R in my future...

I'm using one as my EDC/ go-to light. It has been great so far. The pretty metal clicky button kinda sucks, but they also include a rubber one that works much better.

The V11R has become my primary EDC light too. It is the first light I've found that seems to do everything well.

That seems to be the general consensus on the metal button - mine didn't even come with the metal one.

Mine did. It was stiff for a while, but it's smoothed up quite a bit with use. It gets a lot of use!

Love my v10r it was the first proper flashlight I bought and I think I made a fantastic choice. Tempted by a v11r now due to the 500 lumems output!! Only put of is where it says revolution on the side:/

Yes...that is a bit of an oddity. Especially given the French accents on the word...is that fooling anyone into thinking this isn't a Chinese made light?

Anyone tried swapping the tailcap button? My super thin needle pliers just slip out of the titanium retention ring's grooves when I try to twist the ring.
I would actually like to remove the ugly practical rubber boot and install the pretty titanium boot. I want to do this to make the light more attractive. I cry every time I see the gorgeous v10r and compare it to the troll looks of my v11r.

I just purchased a V11R. Picture below with my JetBeam BC10.

I have a couple questions and comments. I'm just recently getting into flashlights. Simple flashlights. The BC10 was nearly perfect, but the pocket clip was bugging me and I wanted something that could take an RCR123 safely. I moved to the SWM V11R. I preferred the looks over the V10R.

I do have a couple quick questions.
    1. Is there a way to "disable" the gradual ramp up when turning on the light? It seems like it only turns on immediately with the high feature. This bothers me. I love forward click flashlights, and this one is gimped with the ramp up. It forces me to be on high.
    2. Will using an RCR stop this?
    3. How do you change the tail button? Mine came supplied with the rubber boot and I want to install the metal button.

^First of all congrats for the V11R :wavespin:

I don't have a V11R but I will share what I know about V10R and I believe it will probably cover V11R as well.

    1. No
    2. No
    3. I have no idea

Hmm, when I started writing my response, somehow, I believed my answers would be more helpful

So the V10 does the same thing?

Guess I'll just leave it on high.

Willy, glad I am not the only one bothered by that "soft start". Hopefully there is some fix.

Instructions are on the Sunwayman site for clicker replacement.

I saw it on a youtube video review and didn't think much of it. But the delay is long enough IMO that it totally defeats the forward clicky. Once I have the RCR's and can see what the potential is, I'll decide whether I should keep it. Fortunately, SWM has such a strong following I can probably recoup. Thanks for being there for me rick! :D
