Hey, I'm glad to hear that you like your new Evade! Thanks for joining the 'club' and the support. Ref the Zippers In general most are used to seeing the #10 (large) coil zippers that other manufacturers use. My take on it is this......the #10 Coil is perfect for luggages, weapon cases, etc but I personally feel is tad bit of an overkill for an EDC backpack the size of the Evade. So for the Evade I took it down one notch to the #8. Now coil zippers are available in 2 forms and the one on the Evade is the YKK #8 REVERSE zippers. This gives a much cleaner look. I use #8 reverse zippers on all tactical pouches that we produce for the other in-house brands and we've been doing so for years sans any issues. Ref Warranty We have a 5-year warranty on all the products we produce. For Year 1 we have a no B.S guarantee; you got a problem, we'll replace your purchase with a new one. For Year 2 to 5, we will only cover manufacturing defects, not wear and tear. Straight forward, no beating around the bush and no fine lines to read. Hope this helps!
Sure does! First full day with the evade. Cannot get over all the features stuffed into one pack. Thanks HELM
I think the rough zippers actually have more to do with the angle of pull from the zipper pulls than they do with the zippers being #8's. I tried tying on some standard paracord loops which caused the angle of pull to be more in-line with the zipper, and bingo, they were smoother when opening and closing. I really like that grey - I have been trying to hold off on that purchase for a while now and it's getting harder!
Thanks for the tip! I was thinking about doing some paracord ties with tubing. Glad to hear it will help.
Picked up a two tone rip stop Evade and have used it one day. I have to say that of all the packs I've owned and there have and still are many, this maybe my perfect edc bag. It has the right amount of room, pockets, compartments, including the ccw area in the back. I followed the design process a bit and it paid off. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Folks, I just found out that nominations for the annual Carry Awards at Carryology ends tomorrow! It's a long shot for the Evade but if any of you are willing to nominate the Evade, I'd greatly appreciate it! I can't paste the link here so please go to www. carryology.com/ carry-awards-firstround-voting/ (remove the spaces!) Thanks! Helm
I felt compelled to post how awesome this bag is just in case anyone needs another "push" to pick this bag up. I can't say enough good things about this pack. I received it this past Friday and got a chance to take it out to the off road races this weekend. I had a change of cloths, a jacket, and a laptop (along with all the other things I usually carry) and it worked great! Unfortunately I didn't snap any pictures of it in the wild, but I just took some of it sitting in it's soon to be typical spot in the office. Oh, and almost forgot, the Matro. pouches are pretty darn trick. I picked them up just because and I'm glad I did. The second to the largest one worked great for keeping snacks out of the dirt! If you're even considering this bag, do yourself a favor and pick it up...you won't be disappointed.
Let me check and I will revert. The Evades have been selling pretty steadily and as soon as they are re-stock it sells out in some colors! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Are the versions posted in this thread (with the shock cord) a new iteration of the original EVADE back, or a whole new one altogether?
