Not sure how long the option has been up for but just checked the alpha one niner website and see that the solid gray nylon option has been updated for those interested in that material and color.

If I didn't already order three I think I would of picked one up in that color too.

How's back ventilation on the bag? I have the SERT Forum Special with the raised, mesh foam 'islands' and it helps a lot to prevent sweaty backs. I don't plan to hike in the wilds with the EVADE. Just EDC, international travels and city exploration.

I'm pretty sure it depends on ones body, temp in your area, and what you are wearing . After using the Evade for a week or so I've found that with temps in the low to mid 70's on short trips it's fine but on longer trips 30 min+ it can get a little sweaty.

Now I've had other packs with better ventilation and still sweated with them. I think unless for me at least, unless I get one of those packs with a suspended back I'm going to sweat with any temps in the 70s or higher and wearing it for a prolonged time.

Of course carrying it on one shoulder for awhile helps ventilate and dry up the back for a little or loosening the straps so it's not right on your back as well.

Thanks for the feedback! That's exactly how I'd imagine I would wear the bag.

Nice, which one did you order? Any accessories to go with it?

Hey Gents, happy Friday to all!

Checking in with Helm to see if there's any update on the production of the two-tone ripstop packs. Many thanks for your efforts on this project!

    Regards,
    Ike

Nylon Coyote is still out of stock. Helm, any ETA of restock? Can't hardly wait, and I am very close to get one in ripstop twotone instead.

I'm not sure the two tone is in stock either. I ordered one on 8/10 and haven't received it or any confirmation of shipping.

I wonder if it's the same gray as the SERT penumbra?

Hopefully, Helm will confirm. The Penumbra gray would work, I think.

Thanks. I came across that as I was reading the thread. Really looking to see a bag using that material. It's hard to tell what it will look like from a swatch. I guess considering it is described as closer to charcoal, it should work for me. I like the wolf gray Goruck bags so if this is close then I'll be happy. Thanks.
