    Hey guys!

My friend recently got a pico pen from tec-accessories. I liked how small and thin it was. I am considering getting one for myself too. But wanted to hear thoughts about it first. Pro and cons? Their site said the refills can be bought anywhere. I tried inserting a normal pen refill with a similar shape with the refill inside and it wouldn't fit. It was a bit too thick.

Anyway, are there any other pens out there like that? Thin and small, possibly black or silver in color. Would just like to consider my options.:)

    Thank you!

The True Utility Telepen is worth a look if you're considering the Pico. Here's my current EDC set up.

I have a PicoPen. It writes surprisingly well and reliably, and I use it quite a bit. Don't notice it in my pocket. The one con is that it uses a magnet to hold it in place, which can stick to other keychain items. I haven't had to replace the ink yet, so I can't speak to the availability of refills. I was planning on just ordering the refill from Tec because it's metal instead of a regular plastic tube.

I don't have one, but I've heard good things about the Move Bolt Action pen at OliverSha. Al or Ti.
I do have experience with the ink refill, which is a Lamy M22. Definitely a backup pen ink, as it skips every 40th word or so.

I really like my Victorinox Signature Lite. I use it all the time when I'm on the go and need to jot something down real quick. It even has a little flashlight.

I used a Fisher Space Pen Trakker for many years. The pen is still in great shape, but I've retired it for now. I am using "fancier" pens currently. The trekker comes with a ring in its cap which made it easy to clip to my tool ring inside my purse.

I am torn now between the true utility one and the pico pen. Haven't had a chance to handle to true utility one so I can't say much about it but I have heard good reviews. The pico pen on the other hand, I am having second thoughts on it because of the magnet.

The magnet was the only part I didn't like about the Pico Pen.

The True Utility pen keychain spring attachment, to hold the pen, is weak.
Mine fell off some times, I was just lucky to find the pen again!
The ink refills from the manyfacturer soon stops working, even without showing to be empty.
You can make new refills, but the whole system is cheap and unreliable, not what you want to bring with you.
I have some Inka pens, though bigger and much pricier, the pen is always there.
And always works when you need it!

The pico won't fall out of the holder accidentally as the magnet is fairly strong. ..but will tend to latch onto anything else on keychain

Try 'Axel Weinbrecht Beta Inkless Metal Keyring'. I really wanted a Damastylus, but had a bad feeling about the makers, and as they still haven't delivered to any backers and have a 2nd scam Kickstarter for a very unlikely flashlight, I feel justified, this will do for now.

I wouldn't go with the pico pen. You will eventually lose it. I've lost 2 of them off my keyring. The Valiant Concepts pen is a much better option.
