i had a zi10 for a day before exchanging it for the canon. i hated the flip-out usb. i did like the size, but it wasn't solid (creaked in use). you can see the difference in video quality at my youtube channel. the three oldest videos were taken with a kodak playtouch (zi10) and the rest with the canon.
Hi Folks, Sorry for the delay in getting back on this. I ended up with the Canon Vixia and am over all very happy with it. THe fact that it has an external microphone jack was a very nice and unexpected feature. Anywa, thanks to everbody for their time and advice.
