    RAT Cutlery is getting ready to release a pretty nifty last ditch fire kit:

    It has a Misch Metal Flint fit to a watertight spy capsule handle. Looks pretty sweet and I'll definitely be picking up a couple.

    RAT tried contacting the guy to ensure that he wouldn't be upset over any IP infringement or legality issues, but he never replied after several attempts and weeks so they went forward with it...FYI

    I made one a few months back with a 3/16" firesteel and one of those free capsules from EDCdepot.com [​IMG]
    I slid a piece of shrink wrap tubing over the firesteel to protect it until it needs use.

    I didn't see the one posted on BF until after I made it, but it is pretty much identical.
