I haven't worn a wedding ring in 4 years. I lost my last one while snorkeling in Hawaii and haven't gotten a new one. Before that I wore it on my left ring finger along with the majority.

My right hand is SACRED! It will not be sullied by mere possessions, especially those that represent the bondage of my SOUL! (Like wedding rings and the infernal timepiece. Live by the clock, die by the clock, man!)

    (also )

Band: left of course. Don't wear a watch, but I used to wear it on the right. I'm left handed and wanted to give the weak side something to do so as not to distract the left.

I got married last Tuesday to an awesome woman I met 7 years ago. When we got engaged, I bought her a nice ring and band that set me back $2500 and change. I forget the total carat weight but it has plenty of bling, white gold (her favorite) and she always gets lots of compliments on it so I know I did good, lol.

So when the date of the ceremony drew near, we talked about my ring. My take on it was no precious metals or anything too expensive since I tend to lose things and/or break stuff, titanium is too light and I have read where guys have lost theirs without noticing it soon enough given how light those rings are. So I told her we should have looked at Tungsten since it is so durable and I would notice it's absence due to the weight being lifted from my finger.

Long story short, she doesn't really care if I wear a ring or not. Nobody is going anywhere else in this relationship. She could easily afford a very nice ring for me in whatever material, and I would be proud to wear it, but we are not the most conventional couple. We wore jeans and T-shirts to the ceremony. We were the most under-dressed members of the wedding party that day, and our friends and family who attended all agreed it was the perfect statement about who we are and how we live....on our own terms.

Watch and ring on left, sometimes a small paracord bracelet next to watch then always a large paracord bracelet on right.

    Sent from a wondering soul.

Ring on the left (when I'm not working) and watch on the left. I usually rotate my watch to be inside my wrist since I'm often working with my hands inside tight spaces.

I've always worn my watch on the right, even though I'm right handed. Recently got married and didn't want to wear a ring for work safety reasons (snagging on rapidly spinning things or discharging across capacitors) so got a cheap silicone wedding band. Really comfy (never worn a ring before), doesn't conduct and would give way before my finger gets ripped apart if it got snagged. Plus, if I lose it, which I probably will, I can just buy another one for next to nothing.

    Left/left for me.

For those with concerns about hurting themselves while wearing a ring, but still wanting to wear one, I got one just this week that is 100% silicone. It will break before it hurts you and it's non-conductive. I work in a car factory doing electrical and mechanical maintenance so that's why I got it. The brand I got is Qalo, but there are at least a couple of companies selling them. Only cost about $25 with shipping.
