Ray Kirk at Raker Knives Jggonzalez's original posts can be found here: Millenium Falcon Damascus Prybar Millenium Falcon Prybar Elsewhere.... Zach Wood also makes a version that incorporates a prybar, bottle opener, and 1/4" bit driver called the SPD Zach Wood A2 Falcon Pry Bar. ATB, Sam
I accidentally ordered the Griffin Tool Mini thinking It was the full size. Tried it out for a day and absolutely hated It. The finish were rough. Bottle opener work awkwardly due to small size. Belt loop hook was scratchy and not clothing friendly. Pry edge/ screw driver was too thhick to be useful. Scoring edge was dull. Definitely not worth the money nor the time to modify it. I will be returning it soon. Someday I'll order the larger version, sand down the whole thing, and sharpen the pry edge a little. May be I'll like it better. For now I'll stick with my $5 Doohickey and its annoying bottle opener.
@Adam Ng: Thinking about it, I usually (for some strange reason!) have 4 cap lifters with me: a Doohickey; LM Squirt; a Ti pickpocket dangler, and a SAK. I rarely need any of them; but each is multi-use so the cap lifter function(s) are 'along for the ride'. That being said, I find the cap lifter on the LM Squirt the least effective; the SAK (depending on which one is on me that day) is almost always my 'go-to'. When I've needed to the Doohickey serves admirably. I've never even tried using the Ti pickpocket for this -- just not convenient with the other stuff hanging on it! My doohickey always needs two-three tries to un cap a bottle. One time it tear up the cap without opening. I only use it in case of emergency only. LOL!
What can I say, @Boyscout84 , I also love these prybars, so here they are. DSC04969 by I wasn´t aware of that the hex bit had a ball detent, a nice touch The pry end opposite to the nail puller was pocket-shreddy-sharp. I rounded it a tad with a diamond file, then patinated and oiled the prybar -the lighter one in the pic is the one that hadn´t still received the treatment.
Yes they are pretty sharp. I use some electrical heat shrink tubing to MacGyver a form fitting sheath on them.
