The maker (JK Knives) has a kydex sheath available for this tool, but I'm going to try it on my keychain first. Jeff
I keep these in my vehicle the small hammer pry bar is a crate opener which are hard to find, but I have 3. I keep one in my car bag and the other is a Gorilla Bar 14 inch model. It's a forged steel bar that one stays in the trunk area. They also make a 24, 36 and 48 inch model I have one of each for those times when more leverage is needed but they don't get edc'd.
I remember my dad having one of those hammer prybars when I was a kid. Wonder if he still has it . It did I lose it on him .
Here are some of my pry bars. These are Gorilla Bars fairly cheap but very strong, I've used the 2 foot and 3 footer for tearing apart the stairs on my deck. I haven't used the 4 footer as you can see it still has the label on it. Oh and so much for epoxy floor paint, I followed the steps on the can and about 2 years later it peeled right up in spots.
Some places have some of the old original ones with a fair amount of life left in them for dirt cheap. The more expensive ones seem to be the ones made from non-sparking alloys. Reasonably priced new ones (although they don't claim to be non-sparking) can be found at.... wait for it, wait for it.... restaurant supply companies. Actually this seems to be the best/most attainable source for these. I am such a research geek. ATB, Sam
When I said expensive I wasn't talking about the non sparking ones I meant the ones on ebay had more or less tripled in price compared to when I picked up the few 2 I found there. I also know about the restaurant supply angle but the ones I checked require a minimum order. When I want something I search until I 1 either can't find a source or 2 the price is to high or 3 I find it for the right price. I will sometimes wait a few months and do a search again sometimes you are lucky to find what you want on a spur of the moment search. That's what happens when you can't sleep.
I put the pico and micro widgies on the to buy list, but for now I've got a flat head driver off a cheap SAK on my keys for prying. I keep a smaller bar in the trunk though.
I don't use my 4" Pocket Widgy (bought from CC site) as much as I use my Boker VAT. I just got a Sidekick, which came with a Croc. I really like the Croc, except for it's Stainless construction (wish it was titanium). The wide flat scraper/pry side is awesome. Basically a Pirahna (spelling??) without bit cutouts.
Team crypto!!!!! Sorry I love this wallet too much and have to post pics whenever I can I went looking to
I find mine to be useful for a lot of things. Just a note there are 2 sizes one that is about 6 inches and one closer to 9 inches, I have both sizes and find the larger to be more useful.
The restaurant supply chains that cater to business only have minimum orders. Since the advent of prosumer/heavy hobbyist cooks there are quite a few chains that cater to business as well as the general public. Those generally don't have minimum orders. In some cases, end-user sales actually account for an impressive amount of their sales.... wisdom from a ex-foodie/gourmet/food-geek girlfriend. eBay has an odd "trending" model where when something samples as "popular" pricing goes into a wonky "what the market will bear mode." This is the kind of silly, that keeps are fairly recent 3 song EP that was only available at concerts above the $75-$100 mark. Insomnia is a terrible thing to waste or..... ATB, Sam
I bought the Nite Ize Doohickey and I wasn't as impressed with it as a previous poster. I had beef with the weak clip. Barely any spring and that is the only available attachment point. What could I expect for 5$....I'll stick with my boker VAT on the keys. My gal, on the other hand, snatched it up fast when I offered it to her.. Mainly, because it was black and matched her locking nite ize s-biner that holds her keys together.. Good. Small Pry Bar for Favorite Lady - Checked Off list. 8)
Google "Tupper Knife & Tool" He has a Tumblr account that he uses to display his work and sells on Etsy as "TupperKnifeAndTool'. ATB, Sam
