    I work in an ER.

-pair of cheapo EMS shears in a One Tigris sheath
-Gerber Diesel in a Condor single mag pouch
    -Streamlight Stylus Pro
-Couple of blue ballpoint pens (despite electronic records we still use paper forms for certain things; I always use blue to tell the difference between originals and photocopies)
-scrub pants pocket full of nitrile gloves
    -green memoranda book
-Swiss Army knife (not sure of the model)
-various work keys on a cheap carabiner
-ID badge and various hospital-prescribed cards on lanyard
-40oz Kleen Kanteen (non-insulated) at my work station, hidden when Joint Commission comes around
    -radio and earpiece/mic
-stethoscope and various sundries in my MOAB 6 work bag at my computer station

IT guy with straight-forward (boring ) work EDC in a laptop bag:
    • Android smartphone (also being used to tether the laptop when away from the office)
    • laptop and travel-sized charger
    • headset (for conference calls and training videos, part of my personal EDC)
    • HDMI-to-VGA adapter (for old-school projectors at client sites meeting rooms)
    • Micro USB charging cable (to beef up my smartphones battery via a lapotp USB port)
    • microfiber cloth (to clean my laptop screen from dust)
    • Moleskin Cashier notebook (slim profile, because of fewer pages compared to the usual notebook)
    • business cards (carried in back flap of Moleskin notebook, allowed me to get rid of the biz card case)
    • pen
    • color whiteboard marker
    • company badge and RSA token generator
    • screw driver and some cables (when installing/configuring devices at client sites server rooms)
