I have 2 bags I usually carry. My everyday pack is a 5.11 MOAB 10. In my rig (ambulance) I keep a Maxpedition Proteus pack stocked with various IV supplies, bandaging supplies, a CAT tourniquet, Mechanix gloves, and other random supplies and tools. The Proteus is a great tool for me if I have to be out of the rig for a long time. Our first out bags are huge and I find carrying my own pack makes life easier.
I am using a Kiega R30 backpack and it's the best EDC pack I've owned...yet ;-). I'm still searching for the EDC bag that will be the ultimate one. I may just invest into a large Saddleback Leather backpack as I've grown to love their products. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Been traveling the last 5 months doing building audits for my company. Lots of looking at generator rooms, backup batteries, basements, etc. My goto bag has been my versipack knockoff (Note to Maxpedition: make your versipack with a proper shoulder option and I'm in. My knockoff has one.). I carry flashlights, batteries, my digital camera, notebook, a bazillion keys. A bigger bag would be impractical in this instance.
i use my trusty jansport!!! dono model i have a lucas extreme i use for work a cheep-o bag that i dont care gets ruined
My company issued me a Swiss Army computer backpack that has worked out pretty well. Lots of pockets and comfortable to carry. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
http://countycomm.com/minebag.html one of these, which i voted as a purse type bag. i used a Thinkgeek Bag of Holding messenger bag foryears, but it was really too big/heavy for my day to day carrying, so i switched to this smaller thing from Countycomm.
Either a laptop briefcase or a fanny pack. However I just got a FatBoy Versipack, so the fanny pack may be relegated to the closet. I also have a nice Case Logic backpack that fits my laptop nicely but almost never use it for work. Case Logic backpack to the left
My EDC bags consist of a Maxped Fatty inside a Neatfreak. Just enough space for all of the essentials.
5.11 moab6 for day to day running and to work ......maxpedition sitka for adventures with my son at three hes almost old enough for his own pack but not quite. Or any adventures or trips out of a 100 mile radius of home.
A backpack. My EDC is actually small but I often carry random additional stuff. When I tried not taking it with me, I usually regretted. I hate to haul groceries etc. in my hands. I only have one, I don't wanna think about whats where and what to take. One size has to fit. I have an old Osprey Cypher and am looking to replace it just now. This thread was a good inspiration, but I want a dedicated laptop compartment without losing the ability to hike with it, which shrinks the options to way little. Looking at Condor Commuter now.
Converted an old Brit field bag to a Msrg type bag to fit my needs. I like reworking the old stuff. Gives you some connection to the past and a unique piece.
