Tom Bihn ID messenger for work and one of three backpacks (incl a Sitka) on the weekend. Headed to Buenos Aires in August and the ID will be my carry on.
Maxpedition lunada most of the time. But I alternate between that, the Pygmy falcon 2, and Source commander. I like the lunada best because it is so small.
I has started wearing my Hazard4 Tonto now on a regular day basis. it´s perfect size for my ipad mini and all my other goddies like knife, flaslight, multitool, pens, shemagh, paracord, rain poncho, phone
My daily "going to work" bag is a plastic shopping bag for lunch, pop, water, etc. I'm slowly putting together a small EDC pocket pack that'll be a Maxpedition Micro or something along that line. But this sounds interesting, too: Mike
Camelbak .mil HAWG or else GR1. Used to use briefcase- or messenger-styled bags, but they aren't as handy once you reach your destination and need to cover ground on foot.
Great poll!! For commuting back and forth to work, I carry a Bailey Works small messenger, and for just knocking around town generally medium sized Seagull Messenger bags. If I am going on a trip, I will use a TT 3-day pack, and if I am doing anything outdoors, I will generally grab a GGG Stealth if it is summer (no jacket needed) or a TT or GGG Removable Operator pack (I love those bags!)
Timbuk2 classic in black for work. (Super liberal college town.) Just picked up a Kato for "out with the family" carry.
I use a Wenger Book bag I bought in Costa Rica as an emergency replacement for one that blew apart during a birding trip. It has its failings, but it carries my bins, Maxpedition pouch, water and other necessities, and I haven't been able to find something that seems to be that much better to replace it. After 18 months it is still in great shape, comfortable, adequate capacity, and adequately innocuous to be stealthy. So that is it - at the moment - though you KNOW it is only a matter of time.
