Really liking this guy. Deciding on pad what pad(s) or notebook(s). Still a work in progress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Saunders Recycled Aluminum Padfolio – Pocket Size Designed for a 3x5.5 notepad I found it fits two standard 3.5x5.5 pocket notebooks snugly. Think it can also fit a spiral notepad or book. I have a commercial paper cutter so I can make anything fit it.
Just ordered the silver and Rite in the Rain memo book (Amazon Prime, baby) for my new Captain's Log.
It was Black, 54 pages and bound, not spiral, under 7 bucks. Can't have looseleaf in a log because of legal continuity. There's another thread here which shows it installed in the Padfolio. Looks cool.
Absolutely genius! Have you seen the new line up for moleskin with the adobe set ups? I went to their store and still don't get it? You write/draw and it goes to your computer?
I never seen or heard of it until you mentioned it now. Looks cool but expensive. Sent from my HTC6545LVW using Tapatalk
This is my Work EDC. Moleskine Pocket ruled and Cahier ruled, laminated with packing tape for durability. I just carry the Cahier when I'm off work, it slips right into my back pocket and disappears. I use them both all the time, I'm not sure I would function well without them. I use the Cahier mostly for a rolling list of tasks and things I need to remember, sometimes a random thought here and there. I use the pocket moleskine for a daily on the go journal and whatever else gets thrown my way. If it's not in my pocket it's in my maxped jumbo with a spare pen. I have a large Moleskine both at work and at home too, the home one acts as my main journal and the work one is a project book. These Cahiers are great notebooks, but the primary reason I buy them over field notes is they are currently cheaper for a three pack. I'd love to try field notes but I'm not shelling out a full $10 for less pages when I have a stash of Cahiers that I paid $7.65 per 3 pack. Maybe in three months when I run these out I might try field notes. The pens are both Uni Jetstreams. The clicky is a jetstream RT 1.0 refill in a Uniball Signo 207 body. The stick pen is my favorite, it's a Uni Jetstream 101 1.0. At work I carry both, and at home just the stick.
Here's mine: a Moleskine Classic for permanent notes (which I carry in my bag) and a Field Notes for quick jotting, with a leather cover from Offgrid Journals @ Etsy (carried in back pocket).
I ran with the idea I found here http://www.overthemoonink.com/2015/07/diy-elastic-ribbon-pen-holder.html?m=1 and used a strip of leather. It works great and you can clip it to an entire ritr 3x5 or a handful of 3x5 pages folded in half for a more minimalist approach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm one of the few who still carry a long, breast pocket sized men's wallet. Has a pocket that perfectly accepts 3 x 5 cards. I use these for quick temporary notes either for myself or to sometimes handoff to someone I'm with. On the rare occasions when I don't carry that wallet, sometimes I just have a small deck of 3 x 5 cards with a binder clip slipped into a pocket. Got the idea from the Getting Things Done crowd. Also I've found just having the first card on the deck to be that day's urgent action items/errands/etc to be useful. L'chaim! Moshe ben David
Could be wrong, I often am...but I think you might be a long lost cousin from the great North Woods, Canada, the pen guy. BOT who made this cover for you, I'd like to order one...perhaps your artsy crafty wife? If you are the pen guy, I'm using some of your work from 6-8 years back with a Sheaffer Nib. Have an awesome week, Jim
Yup it is me, fingers gave it away lol I made up both of these covers because like my pens I can. Chris
Would you consider Making another one ? I'd like to buy one from you to go with my EDC Appleman Pen. Contact me back channel. Not sure if Monitor will let me post my Email address here.
