Yep, that's a Boker CID Cal .45 in black
It's not the fanciest or nicest pen in the world, but It serves it's purpose well enough for my standards, and it certainly is fun to play with the mechanism
But I'd still LOVE to get a Hinderer Investigator

Nothing pretty here. Sentimental value though.

The Campus notebook accompanied me on a trip around Vietnam, and was used several times daily to record place names, and general notes of things that we saw or that happened. It's very tatty now but it has character. The notebook on the right I picked up in Hanoi, the amusing cover is a humourous play on the fact that the street wiring over there is terrible, and good ol' Spidey wouldn't get very far.

I've just started carrying 2 pocket notebooks as well... and am looking for something very similar but in faux leather.

Thank you very much! It turned out to be a little thicker and heavier than I guessed it would be. I carry it in my purse but even so it takes up space. I might use it in my desk and make another this size but Midori style. It would still house two notebooks but be thinner and lighter, more pocketable. Midori style would be easy for you to do in vinyl or canvas. Good luck!

Plain old Field Notes and a Tuffwriter Precision Press. Decided to try my hand at cursive again after probably 10 years or more of not writing anything but my signature in cursive... a lot has come back, but I have a lot of practicing to do...

Hmmm. It's showing up fine for me on Tapatalk as well as my laptop. Maybe try refreshing the page? I have to do that sometimes for the images to show up.

I was a rite in the rain user for quite a few years as I had discovered them while Geocaching years back and just jumped into the world of field notes. Purchased a set and used them for a week at for so far, really liking them so I subscribed to the colors subscription. Does anyone else subscribe?

This is my trusty Filofax Guildford Extra Slim:

It's jean back-Pocket sized and very well-made. I use it daily as a notebook, at work and at home, and I'd be lost without it. When I did basic training one of the first things we were told was "always have a notbook and pen on you" and that lesson has stayed with me.

You can easily find refill pages for this, in different styles, as well as calendars, map, credit card holders etc. I keep it simple though. The pen is a standard stainles steel Parker.

The customisability is the big plus for me, you can design and print up your own inserts for any application. Used them of & on since late 80's.

Is there a filofax model that’s still in stock and small and slim enough for front pocket carry? I couldn’t find one, but I’m no filofax expert.

Depends on how spacious your front pocket is I guess but I'm pretty sure the Guildford Extra Slim (Pocket size in FF terminology) Rich73 pictured is discontinued, FF UK web site has the Metropol Mini which is probably the smallest, not real leather though. There are other ring binder makers, Google "philofaxy" for info on them all.

Thanks Dave613, I found one Guildford Extra Slim available, but I still don’t know if it’s front pocket carry-able. Rich73 could you enlighten me about this? And is 45€ for a used one in very good condition but without any inserts a fair price?
