I had to have him custom make it, he was easy to work with and even special ordered the Bison for me.

I do see he has a pre-order item that looks pretty interesting.

    Thanks for the steer.

Sometimes I carry my Moleskine cahier notebook (3.5" x 5.5") in my Saddleback passport wallet. It fits nicely side to side but sticks out the top just a little.

Did some crafting today. I use my Moleskine as a diary…

There's a cool Ti notebook project they're calling a "tpad" running on kickstarter through Feb 8.

Been a while since I've visited this thread. Since the last time I was here I found something similar to this on Amazon. Search for "Refillable Leather Pocket Notebook - Mini Composition Cover" not quite as cool as Mooshi's but not bad for $20.

Does anybody know if I can buy the Saddleback covers in The Netherlands?
    Shipping is way too expensive.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to have a custom horsehide leather cover made? I would like something to cover the survey books I use for work.

At work, I carry this 3X5 notepad holder in my back pocket. It's made out of stingray, a very durable leather.

Can anyone recommend a cover that's got an elastic band and is not made of leather (or any material derived from animals)?

Trying to decided whether they kind of sheepishly omitted a demonstration video of "skinning" and loading a spiral notebook "refill" into a "Tpad" on purpose.

The tedium of the practice kind of throws ice water on the romance of titanium.

    For what size notebook?

Do a search on Etsy for "canvas moleskine cover"

You guy's should look at the British Filofax system, I have used it since 1988. And some can store gold coins, well out of the country I always carry a few one ounce pure gold bouillon coins to get out of trouble. There are some pretty bad places in the world.

Recycled Firefighter brand. Their stuff is made from retired fire hose, "The Inspector" is made for Field Notes. "The First Responder" is made for Rite in the Rain notebooks. "The Rookie 2.0" can apparently be used with a slightly modded Moleskine Volant. I think I'll be picking up an Inspector when he restocks

EDIT: Forgot the pen slot is made out of leather. Maybe you can ask him to leave the pen slot off? He hand makes every item himself so I'd guess he could accommodate that

Jake @ Recycled Firefighter said they don't do any custom products.
It's weird to hear of people or companies that are "eco friendly" yet use materials that are seriously bad for the environment. Oh well.

Edit: This has inspired me to attempt making my own cover. Requirements: has to be flexible, thin, tight to the field notebook cover itself (i.e., don't add bulk or size dimensions), and can't be sewn (since I don't have a machine and doubt I can sew straight enough by hand). Resulting choice for materials: duct tape. Will keep you posted on how this goes!
