Thank you gentlemen. Wife and I discussed it last night and we both would prefer a new faucet anyhow so your advice just seals the deal.
I had a customer the other day who ordered a faucet online through bLowe's and got a super deal. Sink too. Like half price I was shocked to hear what they paid.
I need to start looking for a replacement soon. The leak is escaping the lip of the sink and peeling on the counter. I ran a piece of string from the leak down into the sink last night to act as a wick. Is working but looks very...unclassy.
So, I actually have a question. A little while ago, we found a leak in a ceiling. It turns out that the toilet above it (came with new house) was installed wrong; the wax seal on the drain was only covering about 50%. Is there a good way to check if the other toilets were installed correctly without pulling and reinstalling them? sent from a device with a keyboard that hates me
Personally, I've never understood why the single-adjustment faucet became so popular. I've had this problem with every one I've owned. The old-fashioned, two-knob kind has never failed me. I only buy faucets with separate hot and cold adjustment now.
Its all about your safety, man. Our benevolent guvernment doesn't want you to burn yourself, so they have mandated that faucet valves are pressure balancing so that you can't. Nevermind that your a grown up, but whatev.
Absolutely, she picked it out. Half way though installation she questioned the height. Then loved it again when finished. The soap was a necessary evil grin the old sprayer. New sprayer is in the faucet.
What might cause a kitchen faucet to stop working? It sounded like it had air in the line some, then over a few days would work or not. Now it has stopped except for a few drips. It's a single arm that lifts up to turn on and swings left or right for temp. A cheap Delta from Lowes or HD. edit - took off strainer and flushed out the filter...it's working for the moment...note that there was nothing of note causing a blockage.
