Just got my new VANQUEST-31 pack! Attached some compression straps. This and my VANQUEST-Möbius will be my carry one for future travels. Can fit camera gear and clothes in same bag. [IMG]

I had a Timbuk2 nylon bag which is a great bag, but I didn't think it looked professional. So I bought a Frank Clegg briefcase about a year ago. I love this bag. It isn't too big or too small. I enjoying seeing how the leather is wearing in getting scratched with use.

I love it (OscarDelta Stealth Snatch Bag v2.0). It goes with me everywhere, stays in the car only if parked very close by, but I usually carry it especially when traveling into urban environments like today's trip via commuter rail. Very low profile and totally sterile when I remove any patches so it doesn't scream tactical/tacticool at all. I use it for the same exact reason you mention. Standard base loadout is as follows with room to spare for a packable rain coat, etc depending on forecast. I'm a huge proponent of the modular approach of subloads and organization:

    Left Top to Bottom:
Red ITS Trauma Kit - Mini FAK+ Blow Out Kit + Petzl eLite
Topo Design Medium Zip Bag - Cables & USB chargers (AC & cigarette lighter)
Topo Design Large Zip Bag - Personal Hygiene & Snacks

    Center Top to Bottom:
LAW Industries Ewok Pouch - E&E Kit
    Anker PowerCore Fusion 5000mAh
Matador Daylite16 - In case I need to run/walk long distances (emergency bug out backup)

    Right Top to Bottom:
CountyComm Pouch with orange SOLAS panel- Motorola Hint v2, Jackery battery, MicroUSB cable w/ Apple MicroUSB to Lightning adapter
Triple Seven Micro Kit - small multitool, backup flashlight, pen, notepad, etc
    Hydropak collapsible water bottle

They're still making them but go pretty quickly when back in stock. Use changedetection.com to set up an alert to monitor the page. They don't make one without the panel, check out Mochibag and the Thirty-One Cinch Sack.

Old Finnish gas mask bag, a local legend. Not too tactical looking either, or maybe in a WWII kind of way...[IMG]

So I got the Direct Action Dragon Egg MKII

I ordered the wrong sized shock cord. What do you guys think though? Keep it or order the right stuff? I like the functionality of a tactical bag as much as the next guy, but I like it to look squared away too.

Taking the Khard 30 on a day trip with my family to a local river. Unfortunately the most exciting thing in this is my son's toy, my pocket organizer with my SAK multitool, lighter and Spyderco PM2. The rest is lots of towels.
