    Work today..

But also came home to this
    [IMG]

I missed my old Rush 12. It is the most organized pack I've ever had and the price is very hard to beat.

The Rush and HAWG are literal opposites of one another. The HAWG is narrower and lighter while the Rush is wider and heavier. HAWG's 500d Cordura is also more compressible while Rush's 1050d nylon is stiff and keeps its shape. HAWG's straps are also more streamlined as the Rush's are wider and thicker. Both bags carry well but where the HAWG's shines is its ability to comfortably carry whether empty or fully loaded. With its streamlined straps, padded back, and narrower dimensions, it is THE most comfortable pack I've ever had. But I also like the Rush 12's clam shell opening, simple design, and AMAZING organization. I really don't need a second backpack as my HAWG carries everything but I'm gonna hold on to the R12 as my oldest might want it later

Came across this bags at my local Walmart and they're not bad at all. Indeed feels and lokks like 511 Rush12 except it doesn't have that back hydration pocket. My inspection though was cut short when the wifey caught me up at the outdoors aisle.

Thanks, forgot the button, found it again when I was doing some cleaning. Pops off constantly, so it probably won't stay there long.

As for the compression strap, it's actually a spare set from a "5.11 Tactical Rush Tier System" that I had left over from my Moab 10. It helps cinch everything down nice and tight, and with the buckles releases right next to each other on the front it's still easy enough to open up the front admin pouch when needed. I just wish the compression strap across the bottom was more like the Moab 10. I modified that too, but the webbing is still super thick/rigid by comparison. Come winter that's something I use on a daily basis.

Work bags. Tom Bihn Night Flight and Husky (small) rolling tool bag. The Night Flight fits great on the top of the open tool bag.

    My Arc'teryx Khard 30

It's obviously seen some use and dirt. The little pink light is for when I ride my bike to work. It flashes in the hope that people see it and don't hit me. Worked so far.

    Side profile:

I found a much better way to keep the stupid waste belt out of the way, I never notice it anymore. I just ran some Velcro One-Wrap through the daisy chain and then wrapped the belt as normal. Keeps it nice and stable.

    Wrapped handle:

This is the paracord handle wrap I did. It can be taken off in maybe 30 seconds or so, for about 15 feet or so of paracord. I've been meaning to do an unraveling video, since I don't care for it to be there anymore, but I've been lazy. I've never seen anyone do this type of handle wrap, but I just found it on YouTube. It's pretty easy.

I always walk to the downtown outdoor store near my office at least once a week and its not a good habit if your into bags and is a regular in this forum; so here's an interesting one:
The bag is top load at the main but have side quick access and separate laptop compartment, and it has a side handle for briefcase style carry!

This seems pedestrian or mainstream but it has been an awesome work bag. I use this when I'm on the road seeing customers and sometimes to/from the office. It's a brown leather Kenneth Cole "Out Of The Bag". It seems durable, expands by way of a zipper that goes around the circumference (shown not expanded...), has tons of room in it, and front or rear pockets accommodate a carry weapon. Otherwise I carry a S&W sling bag (like Maxped Sitka) or a Vertx Gamut depending on the contents.

Mystery Ranch 'Spartan' - still like this bag a lot and use it very often to walk through the wilderness when I go to my cabin for a weekend...
