HaHa I thought I was the only one who used a gas mask bag for edc! I have to admit I feel like I'm carrying a purse tho sometimes. . .

Any concern of being choked while wearing a sling type bag or messenger bag? I train in MMA and that is my big concern with these bags, someone grabs that strap, they could choke you with it or at the least, have a handle by which to jerk you around.

Appears to be a Rush 12 with Maxped Janus extender; great combination on the sandstone colour and olive accessory, both bags are on my list to add to my Rush tactical messengers and Rothco gears!

No more than being chocked with a backpack, or your shirt collar.

Grab a rucksack from behind and you get similar problems I guess.

    ^^^^

That is why you would want a backpack (or shoulder bag )with quick release buckles...

That was the first thing I noticed about the messenger bags at REI, the lack of quick release buckles.

Here's a couple pics of my EDC Arc'teryx Khard 30. Loving this bag. Going to try and post a review sometime soon.

Speking of the sling, just noticed the thicker sling on this pack so this could be a MOAB, As for the choking issue, guess its all relative, a messenger strap can compromise as well but that all depends how you wear it, tight on your back, at the side or front.

Some really cool bags in here! I really enjoy seeing how everyone decks out the bags and all the different carry philosophies you can pick out just from pics. Anyway here's my maxped noatak in the back of my jeep with my tools.

Neat!, I can see a radio pouch at the belt, is that built-in or accessory?,and that the olive biner I'm looking for which is more tactical looking than the Black Diamond, what's the brand of that?

Its an accessory, It's actually a knife sheath from Maxpedition attached to the molle webbing there. I keep a leatherman, LM bit kit, flashlight, and prybar in it. The biner in made by a company called ITW, I got it from Supply Captain. Its just plastic tho.

Well this was collecting dust in my closet. My laptop backpack was kinda falling apart. I repurposed this to my laptop bag. Trying it out to see if I want to leave it that way.

Camelbak Motherlode circa early 2000's? Kinda mall ninja-ish imo but still a great bag!
