Those are pretty awesome. I personally like the daylite-looking for a really small backpack. I think they look a little better than the black diamond backpacks, but I'm close to pulling the trigger on one.

You did the grey ghost backpack review, right? Awesome lookin pack.

Great photos of the Saddleback Briefcase. Is that a large or medium?

Here is my EDC/School Bag. Looking to get a bigger bag for next semester. Not sure what I am going to get, but looking at something similar to the Rush 24.

That's the Small Classic Briefcase, Collector's Edition 2012. They discontinued this BC 2009, and brought it back as a limited collectable... ordering was open for the first fifteen days of October 2012, and then shut down. They say they'll never make it again. - maybe, maybe not - who knows. I have a Medium, and it gets a fair amount of use, but it's too big for my EDC... this one is perfect!

OK, after countless hours of searching and searching i kinda narrowed it down, i really want a good quality bag, something that will stand up to being used everyday, and will hold a few extra things if i find something while im out.. i found a good manufacture, that i remember having hack in H/S, and its not plastic! Jansport,, there's nothing really special to it, yes it has good storage, couple compartments, bottle holder, and the price isnt to bad.. i watched a video on youtube, this lady put like 8 books the size of encyclopedias and human body works, and i thought she was nuts but the bag held, i thought she was going to fall over, i remember those days.. the only downfall was that the bag is BIG, and it doesnt have straps on the side to compress everything tight? any thoughts on it or the manufacture? Jansport, model (Big Student Backpack) thanks JR

I still say Tactical Tailor Urban Operator. Less than $100.00 made in the USA and built to last. Everything you need. Nothing you don't. In an urban bag that is.

Here's a size comparison; Medium Classic in chestnut & Small Classic in DCB. Not apparent from viewing the picture but the medium briefcase holds about twice the volume.

Does anyone have any experience with a Mercury Code Alpha Tac Pak? I've been after a new backpack and found something with all that I've asked for, a bottle pouch on the side, straps pull everything tight, hooks on the bottom to store something to if needed, place to put a bladder, molle straps all over it, oh and it also expands.. I can get it for a decent price in my ballpark, but does anyone know of them?? JR

Since school is about to begin I purchased a new bigger pack made by Mountain HARDWEAR (Agama). My old pack was the Northface Recon and I've included pictures of both packs with the contents.

Any major or minor issues with the Recon model? I'm considering picking one up myself.

Not at all...I would consider keeping it if it could hold all of my binders and books for college. I highly recommend it!

I've been pretty pleased with the build quality, comfort and design of the Mountain Hardwear backpacks we have. I have two Ricos and my wife has a Salida. I use my Rico when my Tom Bihn Synapse is a little too small. REI has really been clearing them out at great prices recently.

Camelbak Octane Scudo. I got this as a cycling pack but it works nicely for EDC as well. So light compared to the E&E!:)
