Kifaru Urban Zippy with organizer pouch in foliage. Kinda floppy, but I love it!

Still using this monster of a bag, this isn't even the plus size and it's huge. Amazing in every way possible though.

When I got my Gamut I had both of them sitting there in front of me and you are not kidding, the Plus is crazy huge and makes the Gamut seem small when side by side but the Gamut is pretty good sized on its own too!

Pics have a hard time really getting this across too.

I just bought this satchel. I wanted something with a bit of a vintage look and a bit smaller than the typical messenger bag. It might not be the coolest bag ever but for the money it fits the bill perfectly!

It's a relatively cheap Chinese canvas messenger bag. They are sold in different colors and different sizes on Ebay, Amazon and other websites. It's basically a copy of the classic Belstaff colonial shoulder bag but Belstaff moved on, abandoned this design and has become a fancy/pricey fashion brand.

Looks nice!, share this on the Vertx thread and we can talk more. I'm caught between the Gamut and the Courier.

I have two of those, in brown and black. Love them.

And the Belstaff story is a little more complicated. I HATE counterfeits/clones. These bags get a pass for 3 reasons...first, they're actually the most versatile I've used (and I own a vertx satchel AMD some 5.11 bags).

Second, they don't use any of the Belstaff logos, and no one who's seen a real one would mistake one for the other, even at a glance.

Third, Belstaff didn't move on. After they used that bag in I Am Legend and Brad Pitt was seen with on in paparazzi photos, they rechristened that bag the bromfield and raised the price from 300 USD (400 in some markets) to 750 USD. Actually, thats not all of it eother....they raised prices on everything after being bought by a German fashion conglomerate that also owns bally and jimmy choo, among others, and only exists to get things put in movies and on tv to ride the profits from people apparently buying things they see. The conglomerate started putting out lots of marketing materials on their English heritage and contributions to early motorcycle racing and touring culture, while putting an Italian at the helm.

I don't have anything against Germans or Italians, but something about them hawking overpriced goods in the name of English history and movies pisses me off. A lot.

Among others, Aaron Cross in Bourne Legacy and 3 main characters in this season of 24 are wearing Belstaff jackets that now cost around a grand.

Before they were bought out, they were expensive but not absolutely stupid like they are now....they used to compete with people like Barbour.

You can find them by searching amazon for "colonial shoulder bag" (the colonial part is the important word). They vary in price from 30 to 50, and quality/construction seem to be a dice roll from "garbage" to "very decent" that I would call on par with 5.11.

Also, glue the magnetic catches together and just use the belts. It just works better.

Here's an old load out picture of mine.

And the best "mod" I've done....

Its just a bdu pocket organizer that I zipped up inside out and eventually cut in half (because I didn't use one side of it) that keeps a couple pens, my light, and my SAK in easy reach.

sent from a device without a real keyboard, sorry for things that don't make sense.

That particular bag is what I'd call low-medium quality for the ones that are out there, but there's no way to know what you're going to get 'till it shows up. Also, several of the amazon sellers drop ship from Shenzen, so prepare to wait.

Great looking bag. All it needs is a waxed coating - easy to do. There is a good "Instructable" on it.

It looks like a small boater safety kit container and if it is then its definitely water proof.

It is from the local smoke shop. It is waterproof I would assume since there is an o-ring, never tested it though. It's sold as a way to transport your lighter(a nicer one than a Bic I'd assume) on planes without the pressure changes messing with it-it comes packed with foam you can shape to hold your lighter. They are apparently really slow at said shop because they told me that with it you could take lighters on planes that don't allow them, until I explained it to them.
I love it though, it's the perfect size for me to switch it from bag to bag. That way I don't need to keep all that stuff in each pack. If you can find one I'd say get it, it's thick and durable. Good luck.
