Haha I know! Every time I have a new toy he loves to smell it and then jump in it.
Heres my new Mystery Ranch ASAP in coyote with stick it pocket. Just got it on Friday. I've already started some mods on it. Need to practice some more with 550 cord though. Love this bag.
That mystery looks very comfortable. I wonder if I could attempt a paracord grab handle, mine is just single strap no pad.
Smokingfish; I found some instructions on this very forum for paracord grab handle. The demonstration was on a Maxpedition pack. They were pretty easy to follow and many thanks to the person who posted them. I may rewrap the handle again. I need some serious practice.
I will get my moneys worth out of this pack for sure. Very comfortable after I filled it with various gear. I was inspired after two reviews on this EDC forum and a few on Youtube. I had been looking for a new pack and have been eyeballing this one for a awhile. I own one MR's larger packs for long distance backpacking (Glacier 4200 cui) and had owned a Dana Designs Bridger in the late nineties. I had no questions about their quality.
It took about 5 minutes to watch and another 5 minutes to give it a try. I'm sure I'll experiment more and more. Getting ideas for more paracord...
Didn't have time to post it yesterday but this was my carry for the GoRuck Light. After 9 Miles and Some grueling physical challenges the pack served me pretty well.
That patch looks nice! Is it only available with the bag or separate? I'm interested... On the patch, couldn't afford that bag.
It's only available if you finish GoRuck's Light challenge. You can do the challenge without a GoRuck backpack. It's about 4-5 hours and you cover roughly 7-10 miles. It was well worth it to me.

Oh well, that's one nice patch hard to earn. Great for Goruck doing this, reminds me of Boy Scout!
This was my old camera/laptop bag turned EDC bag until my RUSH 12 shows up in a few days.
I want to earn one of those patches!
I should probably train though haha.
The Light isn't to awful they have a 99% pass rate for it. But i want to train to do the challenge or even the heavy.
Hmm, maybe I'll give it a go!
I usually hike for about 6 or 7 hours but steadily
I carry a small Saddleback Classic Briefcase with me.
Nice briefcase, Saddleback has good materials.
Para wrapped handles really make the handle comfortable when the pack is loaded up. Added benefits are that it looks cool and you'll have cordage with you.
I did a simple cobra weave on this handle and then did a second layer of cobra weave. Made it a beefier handle and added comfort.
Switched out the factory zipper pulls to para pulls.

If you do a paracord handle wrap, make sure it is snug and tight. It isn't fun if it can slide or move around. I just pulled mine off and will be re-wrapping it in the next day or two.
For some reason...I really like your name
