Thanks! 20+ years of carrying stuff and you hope to get it right. :)

I don't mind at all. But it might be easier with pictures. I just tried to list it, and got tired. :) I'll snap some pics.

Your right, it is a work in progress(and a fun hobby). I have downsized, upsized, and back again. I think, and just my opinion, my daily snivel gear should fit in 1000-1500 cubic inches. I have had bigger bags, and smaller bags, but the E&E is just right. Almost everything inside the bag can be attached to the outside of the bag if needed. Then I can carry 1000 cubic inches of whatever. :)
Right now my E&E rides in my Camelbak Talon. I am thinking of adding a brick or two, just to build up strength. I can always drop the bricks. :)
Let me snap some pics of the stuff in the pouches, and I'll go post that in the other thread.

Good question. I don't know. :) I could probably look up each pouch and have a good guess. Its not too bad for a daily carry bag.

I use a WWII US issue Mk VI lightweight gas mask bag. I've been using it for years. It is the same as the one listed here: http://www.atthefront.com/us/fieldgear/gasmaskbags.html though mine is an original and has been repaired a couple of times now. I'm glad to see there is a reproduction so I won't have to hunt down an original if mine needs replacing.

I also hang a 1956 first pattern (with the hard front) small arms ammunition pouch off one end. It looks like this: http://www.vietnamgear.com/kit.aspx?kit=34

I actually really didn't know what either of these was until I researched them, and dont even remember where I got them, but they have served me well for years through school and even paintball games.

I am not sure how to upload pictures.

    Thanks Greyhound!
The FR-1 pouch contents provide me with a basic survival/general purpose kit. It contains the following: blast match, fire steel w/striker, butane lighter, zip ties, swiss army knife, wet fire tinder, poly(sporin) to go, zip-loc bags, AMK personal first aid kit, chem. hot hands, hard candy, AMK heat sheet, water purifying tablets, AMK pocket survival kit (my fave), lip balm, packets of sanitizing hand wipes and surefire A2 flashlight (not shown).
IMHO the FR-1 by Max is the best! It serves several purposes and I own 2. Cant go wrong.

    Cheers!

Maxpedition MPB, now serving as my Man Sack. Stays in my vehicle, and provides the things I want or need while away from the Powernoodle Compound.

    Hi Kurt!

Nice review again! How thick is the FR-1, moderately filled? Thinking about to get one for clarity in the main compartment of the Jumbo.

    Best regards
    Alex
