    Time for an update:

I posted this bag a few months ago. It is a $15, 9 year old Targus 15'' laptop backbag. I have been using it to carry a load of about 30lbs daily including a 17'' laptop. I have since replaced the 17'' laptop with a 10'' netbook and added an MP3 player with Fm radio for entertainment and emergency use.

    This setup isn't finished yet.

Items I still need, but haven't been able to find:

    1. A water container the size and shape of a 17'' laptop

    2. A slim, quick, smart charger for AAA and AA batteries.

If you know where to find these items, I would really appreciate the information.

    Now on with the bag.

Just got a Maxpedition Monsoon for EDC. Bag doesnt suit me. On top of that I ordered Khaki, but Khaki-Foliage showed up and seller wont respond back. Think Ill just have to take a loss and throw it up on an auction.

The Pygmy Falcon and those Civilian Lab rigs are both looking pretty good right now. I just hope I think this pack through more this time.

Love the organization. If you don't mind...what do you carry in the different pouches?

DAY-um, you're a LOT more organized than me!

But while set-ups like that appeal to my OCD side, at what point are you carrying more containers than contents?

All those pouches have significant bulk and weight, even empty. Have you ever packed 'em all up sans contents, just to see how much "overhead" your system has?

If his bag had wheels on the bottom, he might mistake it for his carry-on bag and take it to the airport. Wouldn't you loooove to see the x-ray reader's face when THAT went through? ;D
