Since I can't PM anyone yet, I wanted to say "This is awesome!" I've admired this bag for months, ever since I saw it while lurking way back when. When I get around to making my own bag, yours is the one I'm going to use as a model. (Sure would like to learn more about those secret pockets, though!) ;D
I recently decided to start making use of the free gym at work. I realized that my 5.11 messenger bag just wasn't making the cut when it comes to doubling as a gym bag. So... I decided to get rid of the 5.11 messenger bag, and replace it with a small duffel by Oakley to be my new EDC bag. The only downside of this bag is the lack of storage compartments for little things, so I ordered a Maxpedition Fatty Pocket Organizer that should be here later today. Here's my new EDC bag, guys!
The MR Outsider got hijacked the morning after I got it I left it out and empty because I got home late from work and did not have time to change it over. I came out the next morning and my Daughter was at the table in her PJ's with my pack loaded with her school stuff. She smiled big and said "Dad I love it, it's orange can I have it." This is Maci with her new bag. https://picasaweb.google.com/1138653...53680657505474 Guess I need to get another one.
Sorry about that. https://picasaweb.google.com/113865363050881021730/DropBox?authkey=Gv1sRgCJmxvc-Hj4CKlwE#5715053680657505474
Maximum Expedition purse. Glotoob Lithium attached to the external keyper + secured with a piece of paracord through the small circular hole (the keyper which I hope no one actually uses for keys due to its thief-friendly location.) Location is suitable for this beacon because it alerts drivers behind me to my location, which is a good thing for drivers who like to avoid striking pedestrians. The hat folds up neatly and fits in the main compartment. Still deciding whether I want a Nalgene for the bottle compartment. I don't own a dishwasher, and since my tiny hands are actually still too large to fit in the "wide mouth" opening of the Nalgene, I don't want a bottle that I cannot wash. The black backpack in the rear is merely used to prop up the Maxpedition purse. The black backpack is a Camelbak HAWG w/ 2 SpecOps brand GP pouches attached to the sides and an Oakley hardshell sunglass case attached to the top w/ 4 Grimlocs. Going to put that black bag in the Marketplace soon.
My Blue Force Gear Vulcan pack that I use for rural EDC. I added an ATS Tactical Upright GP (left) and a Tactical Tailor Large GP pouch (right) onto it for more storage capacity. I have a Camelbak Better bottle in the ATS pouch, and various FAK items in the TT pouch. I used an ITW Grimloc to tie the two pouches together. That way the water bottle won't flop around when I am on the move..
It is a sweet little pack. It's reminds me of a slightly shrunk down version of the ATS Cobra pack that I used to own.. Yeah, the pics on BFG's website don't do this pack justice. Their pics make it look like a skinny little pack, when in reality it's much more substantial in real life.. lol . A bunch of companies won't ship to Europe. It's either something to do with stupid US export laws, or the fact that stuff always seems to get lost 'in customs' over there..
