I have an honest question about everyone who carries these bags- do you all carry them all the time? Basically wherever you go? It just seems weird to me. Where I live it would be super awkward to have a bag with me at all times and it would be awkward to see someone carrying something like that.

My bag is considerably smaller and lighter than most of the ones shown here. I do carry mine all the time, except if I'm at home or in the office.

Depends. Mostly, mine goes in the truck, then into work and back. Mine carries my iPad and a book, so it will go to the coffee shop, or to the park. No different, IMHO as someone with a bookbag/ backpack. Awkwardness is in the eyes of the beholder.

Aldo, could you tell me more about that attachment on your Jumbo?
It is shaped like a black soda can, and about 1/2 the size.

All the time, every time I go out. I feel naked without my backpack and I always have a feeling that I've lost something if I don't have it (like if I leave it in a car). It certainly does get heavy and sweaty especially in the summertime though. I downgraded from my Nalgene 1 ltr to a 700 ml bottle recently to cut weight but I found that I kept running out of water so back comes the weight! The only time it feels awkward having a pack is when I'm out with friends/family and none of them have any kind of pack, just me.
The time I feel most naked without my pack is on my motorcycle, it just feels strange!

Sorry, i didn't think the stuff i carried there would be of EDC interest, just a hodge podge of stuff i have to haul about. Will try to display my gears properly next time.

I'm figuring that either would be good enough in an emergency.
plus, I've only got red tape
I'm going to get a proper patch next time I make an order somewhere that does them.

Lately I've been EDCing my old fav. My 1953 issue US Army Field bag. The PlanB was a little too big for the work truck and a little too awkward for the iPad.[IMG]
As you can see, everything is just, kinda, lumped together.

Its been in use since 1953 :) I've personally been EDC'n it since I was about 7 or 10. I love it. Its just not much on organization. Main compartment, front compatment, and 2 side dump like pockets that are, like, 10" deep, but only as big around as your fist. BUt I love it:) Thanks

It doesn't look like it would be that difficult for someone who was handy with a sewing machine to divide that outer pocket up into an admin area..
