For the wireless connection between camera and iOS device and laptop, I rely on either an Eye-Fi X2 Pro or an Eye-Fi Pro in combo with a small mobile router, powered by an usb-battery pack.
The X2 Pro resides in a Canon 1D MK3, the Pro occasionaly gets used in a 5D MK2.
On the iPad side I use ShutterSnitch, an app specialized in wireless transfers from Eye-Fi and the brand-own transmitters of Canon and Nikon.
I do some freelance commercial work for free papers, and every time clients are wowed by the fact that it's wireless
I usually set the iPad down in the client's office, while I go about my business in the store/car dealership/etc...
Also, bacause it's Apple, it's really easy to use for clients, who can review the pictures and even rate the ones they like, so I have some info when selecting.
Regarding iTunes : I rarely use it, PhoneView is what I use, in combo with the right apps I can play whatever format.
Regarding in- and output : I already have the SD and USB connection kit. Besides that, I've got my imagetank, that I can connect to the iPad, so media storage is not a problem.
On their way are a VGA adapter, a HDMI adapter and a CF reader, so in- and outputwise, I think I'm covered.
About the whole Apple thing, sure, you've got to drink the kool-aid, and there are some limitations. But for those limitations, there are smart devvers who find workarounds

nice bag and nice setup. It would be cool, if you'd upload pics of the bag content.
That would be more appropriate in it's own thread rather than clogging this one up.
Thanks, I will, but I'll make my own thread. Just got a few more things the other day. Still need a few things, but its mostly done.
Looks like a Maxpedition Multi Purpose Bag (MPB) in Black.
This is an awesome thread! It took me a whole four days to read every page, but it was worth it. I have a question for you guys and gals ...
What is the SMALLEST Maxpedition bag that can carry a 10.1 inch HP Mini 110-3530?
My current EDC is the Neatfreak, which is simply too small for it. Is the Lunada the option I'm looking for? (I wish there were a local Maxpedition carrying dealer so I could find out myself, but I'm stuck with the Internet.)
I like bags where you can completely remove the backpack-like sling ... can someone advise me? (Thanks!)
The Malaga is what I use for my Acer Netbook with plenty of room to spare. It fits in the back pocket of the main compartment with my Kindle fitting in the front pocket and the charger for the netbook at the bottom with random winter weather needs. I could probably fit my ipad in there too if I wanted.
Thanks muskrat72! That's very helpful.
My new hiking bag
Very stealthy. :winkwink:
Here is a pic that I snapped using my iPad in which I was able to fit in it once I removed the pocket organizer. That is my Acer and Kindle position how I had described earlier.

I like my Sitka for my netbook a Dell Inspiron mini
I'm not sure about that, an ipad in an otterbox fits, an 11" macbook air does not...
Now I know that 10.1 is smaller than 11... But check the otterbox site and the apple site for dimensions...

I need one of those little Bokers, Rev. Are they built well?
