It's the Javelin for sure, it may be V2 though. Had it a while now. Its a very handy bag indeed, i tend to use it for work and trips away (camera stuff when on hols) so i don't have to put any folders in it, but i could see how it would be difficult to get them in there. Tough as hell too, can really take a throwing around. Thanks for the like :-D

Yeah, I didn't look too close at yours, yours is the V2, not too much changed between them though they did make it a tiny bit bigger. I have mine setup with a Mil-Spec Monkey Bottle Corset on the side with the pen/tool pocket and I've got shock cord set up in the cord loops with Grim-Locs so the cord is out of the way when I don't need it, but I can quickly pull it over and lock the grim-locs on it to carry my jacket or bike helmet.

Just out of curiosity, have you found a use for the shock cord on the upper pocket, the one where you have the vagisil patch? I didn't know what to do with it at first, but I've been using it to hold an umbrella, or sometimes even a water bottle. I've had a camelback eddy in there in just the right position that you can flip the top and drink while it's still attached to the bag when the bag is across your chest.

Also out of curiosity, is yours right shoulder or left? I went for a right shoulder, because I wear a phone holster right side and also so I could grab my camera out with my right hand.

Great bag so far, the only issue I've had is the fabric that holds the side support strap onto the main strap ripped apart. I've got it replaced with a carabiner for the moment. I usually only use that strap when I'm biking anyway, so it's not too much of a big deal.

Apologies i am only just replying. I missed the post !!! I use the shock cord to hold my iphone at times, it's in an otterbox so i put the screen facing inwards and pull the shock cord, holds it really well. Sounds like a good setup you have there mate, throw a pic up if you get chance, would love to see it. And you say there's a bit more room in the V3, hmmmmm, i may have to have a look at one and see if it's worth buying another Vanquest bag hehehehe.
Yeh it's a righty, works well for when i'm doing photography tasks.

Best looking GoRuck bag I've seen. Was that a limited edition option with the black webbing?

There was a short time where Goruck offered their 2nd run of limited colors with black webbing, possibly because that’s all they had. I think their finances were kind of tight and they needed to keep turning things over.

Nice dude. How do you like it? How’s the size? Seemed a bit small to me but might be good.

Size seems good...was looking for a 25L pack mostly for work. 15.6" laptop fits a little snug, which I like so it's not sliding around. Still plenty of space for other stuff. I'll report back once it gets some use. The amount of features on this pack are awesome for the size/cost.

Please do. Currently have the sling, pretty nice for running round town, but my COVRT 18 is nearing retirement and I have been really eyeballing this one A LOT.

Why are you retiring the COVRT 18? Have been considering it. Might you share the good & bad?

    Thanks.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I Love my COVRT and have been carrying everyday to work for the last 5 years. Same bag has held up great, except for the dang key hook. I’m just ready to give it a break and switch things up. Consider it semi-retirement as I’m sure I will still load it up but maybe as more a weekend bag then work week.
